They really aren’t that bad The problem is they’re very reminiscent of Jordan Hybrid models. And the copy and pasting of colorways from popular models is very telling
In my opinion, if they would’ve kept the Jordan 4 RM as a Nigel Sylvester Pro Model, and just give him a bunch of colorways (Like the Nyjah’s and Janoski’s) and keep them all Pro Model “Bike Air’s” I feel like every single color way would’ve sold out!! But instead, they’re using him as a model to push a silhouette🤷♂️
Is funny because everyone says they want something new from the Jordan brand, but then complain when they don't get a retro. I do like this and will be coping, just keep that energy so the ones of us that want it can cop for retail
I don't think it's a takedown.. of fusion you're wrong for saying that.... they are equivalent to the, Jordan 11 I.E. Also there are alot of sneakers with a low version where the upper is completely different from its higher counterpart.... Jordan 17 has 3 different variants and all it's variants have a completely different upper.... 💡🧠
The Pine Greens look good. Personally, I'd get those at retail. But if other colorways sit and price drops to around $110-$125, I would buy a pair. Not a bad shoe
Ngl, didn't like those 4 rm's when i first saw 'em but I think they are growing on me. I could rock those nigel joint's or the pine green's ez now. Let's hope they outlet specials for the people that actually wanna get 'em.
Thank you man for this. First time I saw them,I saw a combo of different sneakers and these kicks didn't wow me at all. I fear that Nike has that edge with being innovative. They must get a new breed of designers.
It practically looks like an AJ4 low, with some modifications. Nonetheless, i don‘t think it‘s gonna be all too popular. For me, they look way too boxy&chunky, which is a result of the low top cut
These in my opinion are pretty cool especially the Nigel Sylvester colab but the other colorways do look decent too! And the price point i think is pretty decent too considering how the retro 4s are way too expensive these days, but these will be a cop for sure, but also yeah i dont think these will save nike in anyway and most likely the non collabs are destined to outlets, which good for me to save money on these joints
They should have been the actual sb4. I like them. I will definitely go for the Nigel Sylvester pair since I’m a huge fan of his (and of skate/bmx culture). They’re going for $330 my size. I’m hoping that they drop in price as soon as they release.
I'm not gonna trash these but, Nike is crazy if they think these will pull them out of the fire. However, it does have a good price point. If the new age sneakerheads love New Balance, Asics, and Crocs then there might be hope for these yet.
They don't look bad, I'm just not a big fan of the way Nike likes to take the Frankenstein approach and build shoes from random parts they have lying around. Yeezy was coming out with wild new stuff like 450's three years ago and Nike is over here trying to squeeze more money out of an idea they came up with in 1989.
Not a bad shoe overall but they really fkd up that toe box/mudguard shape. It’s way too high. If u see that shape on regular 4s, u’d think they’re fakes.
I’d prefer to see a really technical bmx/skate shoe where the emphasis is put on the utility and tech with a Jordan spin rather than a Jordan with a couple design changes and call it a bmx shoe
The Nigel collab is dope but as a whole, the hybrid silouettes don't do great long-term. I thought because it's kinda sorta related to the SB J4, that it'd be enough to keep the hype train alive, but it aint. I think the new SB silouettes coming should do well, though
Between these and the Jumpman jacks .. I don’t wanna hear no one talk crap about fusions , Jordan nothings, Nathaniel’s whatever you wanna call them ..🤦🏻♂️ this is why you buy what you like people
These kind of works with certaIn colours and not on some. Like with the black/light bone, the white really shows how chunky and a bit unbalanced the toe/mudguard area are to the side panel-to-heel looks. BIKE and swoosh heel logo are the highlights on some versions that have this.
I have to admit, I do not like the shape of the jordan 4s. They look like hiking boots, and I think they're hard to style. Sure, I feel weird that they want to make it a 4, but think about how much people hate the Jordan fusions- if they're gonna launch a new one, that last thing you want a hip new shoe to be is unceremoniously lumped in with "the bricks." The construction looks great, the price cut is very competitive, and the inspiration and tailoring to skateboarding and BMX. Sure, they're more of a remaster of an unloved fusion, I don't think anyone is going to deny that those original ones are hideous, but you can clearly tell that they've retooled them. I think it's so easy to speculate and basically buy into conspiracies of getting a fast one pulled on us, but none of that should matter if you're buying the shoes because you like them, not to speculate on their resell value.
Jordan and Nike should focus on comfort, their customer target are primarily old now mostly coming from sneakerheads from 2010s. Also stop doing copy paste color ways especially on fusion pairs, they never do good
Got my nigel sylvester aj4 rms on the way right now Can't wait probably going to throw fat sb black laces in em be dope af nxt to my aj4 sb pine greens.
The problem at Nike isn't their products. It's their production. Everyone should have a equal chance to purchase the new thing. I understand not knowing the popularity of a certain color way or anything but release a certain amount on release and then release more depending on Sales. Open your own stores. Use computer systems that can keep a record on purchases from buyers. There is always a way to make it right . My suggestions may not be correct but something has to change to level up the game for equal opportunities for every customer. That is the reason why I don't shop directly from Nike any longer because I feel Nike doesn't care about me as a customer. I have been purchasing shoes from them since the beginning.
Kids are gonna eat these up, I prefer normal 4s but they aren’t bad . Probably gonna pass because I want the Paris / fear joints more but these will do decent before they get gr’d into oblivion.
You might be wrong these will not only sell out but really do very well Critics such as you have been around a short while in the Minds of a Presence mindfulness people I Repeat short, not Lasting Impact. No Offence My Opinion, Open Market
Unfortunately It will flop, which is sad, to be honest. I get it, the coloways aren't doing it any favors. However, it's really not a bad silhouette. As you can see, with the right coloway, this could be a very nice shoe. Thing is, "sneakerheads" dont like change. Nike Jordan brand is definitely in a rough spot. Cant keep releasing the same shoes over and over and over at some point it will dry up.
BIG BIG BIG FAN 🔥🔥🔥🔥 of theses 4 RM’s. OG Collecter since day ☝️ Nike will never please the sneaker 👟 community unless every pair Nike drops is a TRAVIS with high resell 🤦♂️ For those people your not part of the community your a HYPE BEAST 🤨🤦♂️👍🏼✌🏼
Is Nike dead or is it going back to 2009-2015…pre Virgil and Travis Scott hype. Back then most shoes you could just pick up at footlocker. And shoes didn’t re sell for hundreds of dollars over retail unless it was something special like concord 11s. I don’t mind the hype dying down and being able to pick up retros or even doubling up on pairs I loved growing up.
Is Nike getting desperate because they "introduce a new silhouette" that's actually kinda dope but then they slut it out with knockoff colorways and mass production
Air Flight ‘89 and Flight Legacy have Jordan 4 tooling, but nobody really cares about those. They are likened to ‘poor man’s’ models. These just feel like they will be treated the same way. For the record, I have these models in my collection and likely will try for the Nigel Sylvester pair to add some variety.
