And a word to you would-be gladiators of Turin's arena: even if using an exploit helps you put wins on the board, it's not worth Turin introducing you as "the dreaded sweaty unsummon Lord which is going to be avoiding the Lord snipe penalty (I can't wait for that to get changed)!" Turin's all about sportsmanship - when he isn't going full Palpatine on profpwn during a stream. But that's an exception to the rule that I think we can all enjoy! 😃
Palpatine is definitely Heinrich Kemmler. He's got Krell (vader), he rules an army of soulless soldiers (droids), and he's always doing schemes in the background.
8:42 I think it's pretty well established in the lore that the average Norscan is anything between 6-8 feet tall. Give them Chaos armour and they become positively gigantic. Also, gg, that was one hell of a comeback from Tzeentch. I've seen quite a few matches that are the reverse of this battle, where Tzeentch starts off strong, blasting their opponents with magic and shooting, but struggles later on as ammunition and magic runs out. Truly, Pwn is blessed by the Architect of Fate.
Nagash is papa skelly. Papaltine is basically a skeleton. Both have amazing laughs. Both are schemers. Both have vast empires. And both do stuff for the Lols. Papa Palpatine is Nagash!
I would honestly say Neferata is more palpatine she basically tricked the other vampire bloodlines into following her, turned her greatest champion into an evil monster, tricked her betrothed into serving her but he was able to free himself from her, killed her good cousin and took over her kingdom. In terms of planning and intrigue she is very much a palpatine like character
Now that was an impressive and entertaining match! Amazed that the Tzeentchian infantry clutched it in the end - I thought those Leadbelchers would decisively turn the game for the Ogres.
Most palpatine character? Probably Nagash, the endless ambition, somehow always returning etc. Tzeentch is the one with the crazy schemes and so on though, but in a different way than what we find with Palpatine. Palpatine schemes to reach his goals, for Tzeentch scheming in many cases is the goal.
I think in the lore the closest equivalent to Palpatine would be either Nagash or Morathi, as scheming masterminds pulling strings to play the long game.

Palpatine is obviously Nagash. Nagash some how returns all the time and is the big baddy, even when he is not alive. Darth Vader is Mannifred. Baldness and trying to undermine Palps/Nagash, but always falling in line... until the very end of times

I think the most palpatine character has to be a chaos dwarf. They scheme they kick ass they use magical powers and they rule an empire with power and fear. Enslaving anyone and everyone to power their warmachine. There really isn't another option I think.
Crushers, the ground based version would of been good here. High armour against shooting, good ap and anti infantry against Chaos Warriors with Halberds when mixed with Gnoblars. The Screamers you need a quick dedicated anti large sweeper unit in your backline to get rid of them, he took too long killing them.
Have you seen the new map replacer mod? It allows for custom made maps to be added to campaign battles. I hope the total tavern map pack make land battle versions of their maps to add to campaign, they are all so beautiful and would fit right in at specific locations on the campaign map
Turin, I really don't think you are being fair to tzeentch here. The barrier mechanic has been nerfed so much, the Regen delay is like a full minute now or something crazy. Consider that the vast majority of their roster only has three digit shield point, the max of which decreases with their real health, I don't see how it could be compared with healing of other faction which restores huge chunks of hp bar at a time.
Does the Damage from the LOC fury summon count towards its damage value? If not taking out a couple half units of ogres with summons would definitely add an extra 7-1200 value?
Brute force, outmaneuvering, and saturation. Yeah gnoblars are doodoo but you can mitigate antilarge units in melee by having gnoblars and ogres fight on top of each other.
"One second." Dude, what are you talking about? They were charged twice by monstrous infantry and left in combat for way longer than that and they didn't die. They were below half HP when they got charged a third time and they still didn't die by the end of the match.
@@thepiousskeleton6046 well, one misplay and they immediately lost a ton of models. They have a short range and don't even do good damage unlike blunderbuses. isn't that the mark of a bad unit?
@@Sleexb After they had already suffered from two other misplays of letting them get charged and remain in melee for way too long. They are fragile but their damage output is great. Blunderbusses are also much slower, cost more, and are less flexible in their ability to get good line of sight.
