Dan Patrick recaps NBA free agency so far, including Klay Thompson leaving the Golden State Warriors to sign with the Dallas Mavericks, ending the Warriors Dynasty
Steph, Klay, Dray & Coach Kerr changed the game of basketball forever. When I lived in the City & Santa Cruz in the 90s I used to go see Warriors games a few times a year. We used to wish we could compete for chips, so the last decade has been everything we as fans could've asked for: 6 NBA Final's appearances & 4 titles 🏆🏆🏆🏆 #Big3 #HOFers
It was more lacob who changed the game because it was lacob who spent so much that the nba changed the cba to put a stop to the checkbook dynasty. If lacob didn't spend like he did the little 3 would only have that 2015 fluke ring, and the nba would've copied a different team who didn't win by playing a weak style like the warriors did by being a 3 pt shooting team.
@JackieTrainwreck because the warriors pussified a sport that is supposed to be a men's sport. Now it's so reliant on the 3 instead of athleticism and toughness, they could literally combine the wnba with the nba and no one would notice. And, they did it in a way where they deserve zero respect for how they won.
As a lifelong warriors fan, i couldnt have asked for much more....after seeing this team at the bottom year after year, i couldnt have imagined anything like this.
As a warriors fan, and apparently not a fan of basketball, im happy with this whole story. 4 rings is incredible. Any fans that are crying about missed picks or rotations arent real fans. All the money spent. All the minutes they played together. It was great not being a fan of basketball for the last 10 years.
Even though I'm a Warriors fan, a Steph fan, a Kerr fan, and I know they're still great and can compete at a high level, in my heart I know the dynasty is over. But, it was an amazing run and I'm glad I was there to watch it unfold in real time, through the ups and downs, and boy where there both of those. The 2022 run could not have been a better way to end the run, with Steph finally cementing his greatness.
People said we’d never see a dynasty like the 49ers, Celtics, Bulls, and Steelers. We’ve seen dynasties like that since and we’ll see these dynasties again.
Podcast p getting all that money it’s just silly, ownership should fire the GM past his prime always hurt when it matters , last interview where he’s not accepting accountability just baffles me, that contract even worst than the one with the other forward that I can even remember his name
Bring up the knicks as an example of why you have to build through the draft if you want a dynasty is hilarious because none of their key guys were drafted by the Knicks
You're whole timing for a vacation was perfect...The off-season Lebron talk is so draining...and you avoided the whole Bronny James to the Lakers circus..it feels like Lebron with the help of Genie have devalued that franchise by at least half of what it's worth.
You mean an NBA champion that is filled with elite 3pt shooting and sets season records for offense and net rating? oh, that was the Celtics this past year.
The “Old Fashion Way”, Superstar Kevin Durant decided to join the Warriors and Win Them 2 Titles with 2 FINALS MVPS and Almost a 3rd Title if He wasn’t injured.
@@Shmuk-bn7ef Don’t Fool Yourself! Without Kevin Durant, the Warriors wouldn’t have Won those Back-To-Back Championships because He was the Final MVP for Both, Not Curry, Thompson nor Green,
You might see it in the Celtics. Nothing that has happened in the draft only free agency so far suggests anyone has closed the gap between Boston and the rest of the NBA.
Stephs comments is due to humans being short sighted. We can't imagine the world existing a hundred years from now. Of course it will happen again the NBA is hoping to exist thousands of years into the future if not more. It will continue to happen
Speaking of dynasties comprised of a collection hall of fame players… Anyone remember who still had the best winning % since 99-00? #SpursDynasty #Statoftheday
It was never about ego being bruised from coming off the bench. He just needed more time. He played well coming off the bench. He was frustrated with himself and couldn’t deal with the rest of the team because he didn’t wanna let em down because he is humble and has integrity. It hurt him inside that he was letting the team down more than it hurt himself. His body just needed more time and he didn’t know how to deal with it. This was a premature move by the warriors. As long as it has taken klay to recover and get back to the level he got to most recently as a warrior, they didn’t have to get rid of him. He could’ve been sixth man of year as a warrior this coming season. Now he could be as a maverick.
I reckon the Max contracts will be scarce in the future. Look at Boston, they got themselves in a situation where they can't keep together very long. If a team drafts two great players they will have to earn a bit less in order to keep it together for the long run
Maybe they would have still won 2018 when Kyrie left the Cavs for the Celtics and maybe won 2019. Less likely without KD but still possible. Would have been cool to see.
Timberwolves will be the next Champions 🏆 Philly will not!!! Both Joel Embid and Paul George will not play 60 games together!!! Not to mention Playoffs!!!
