You'd figure that with Ned's relationship with both of his hippie parents, he would just unplug the phone and call it a night. How he could expect Maude to be so understanding and patient when it was the same message every time is beyond me. It would drive me up a wall if my husband wouldn't respect my wishes either.

I think this is the only time I've seen Maude snap at Ned like that and the way he cowers a little when she is threatening him by throwing him out of the house makes it funnier is kind of out of her character. I haven't watched any of the newer Simpsons episodes since...2015 so idk if there are like any flashback episodes with her in it where she also snaps at Ned like this.
