Amazing interview Charlie Rose really cares

"Follow the money" is not in the book, All the President's Men, and nobody involved with Watergate ever said it. That was Goldman's line.

For a man who knows nothing about anything he's sure written some classic screenplays!

Seeing a coloring event helped me (I still felt something with "surgery").

I like how this interview, which is as old as I am, featured the line, "Independence Day 2, when they figure out when it's gonna be out, is gonna be gigantic." Sure took them a long time to figure it out, didn't they?

everything he's saying applies even moreso today.

Love Goldman, but I kind of disagree with his opinion on Redford. I don't think he got bored, he got deeper into it by opening up his directing, sundance and then his environmental activism and still doing so, whereas Newman was playing with his cars as I believe he did get bored with Hollywood and used it to pay for his car racing habits. Though Goldman & Redford seem to have some bad blood from "All the President's Men" experience and you can kind of see it in his eyes and the way he answers about Redford. Its pure professional courtesy as Hollywood is a small world and hence why no one likes to talk negatively of another still in power.

Rose gets one of the top screenwriters and most knowledgeable authorities on the Hollywood machine on his program and only gives him 16 minutes? How short sighted. And disappointing.
