The William McKinley Memorial and Presidential Library and Museum in Canton, Ohio. McKinley was assassinated in 1901 NOT 1991… sorry that one got my world class proofreader!
Nice job on covering the monument & the museum! Funny story about something in that museum. I remember when I was around 3 years old & that laughing sal was at the Stark county fair. My dad picked me up & stuck me near her as she was moving forward, I ran out of that building wanting to go home. That thing scared the 💩 out of me!🤣🤣
Another place I really have to come and visit!!! The museum looked really cool, I always like when they make up a miniature village like that! That Laughing Sal was totally nightmare sauce!!!!
Enjoyed the Memorial and Library, Tolle. 1991 Assignation? Here I thought Bush 1 was president. (Didn't see that you noticed until I read) You're learning from me! A lot of important history here. Enjoyed the tour, but will be having "Dancing Sal" nightmares tonight. She's be coming out of a closet that sounds just like that "thing!" Thanks for bringing us along.
I had no idea William McKinley was assasinated. I guess I need to brush up on Presidential history. Card catalogs are museum pieces now. LOL. I feel old. I love the old time museum exhibits. I have been meaning to try one of those hotels with indoor water closets. This was a cool museum. We just visited our first Presidential Library recently. It was a cool experience. Thanks for sharing this one with us!
Great history there! Only thing I knew about McKinley was he lost a mountain named after him in Alaska a few years back. And yes no one likes the dentist. You can’t stiff Sam and expect any service 😂 cool video!
Yep, got stripped of a mountain. The thought was he was going to go down pretty big in history but Teddy Roosevelt was so popular after him that McKinley kind of became an afterthought.
I grew up in Canton and always thought the monument was very cool. The museum has been vastly improved over the years. It was originally known as The Stark County Historical Center when it opened on the 60’s and had a planetarium. - Laughing Sal also known as Beulah originally stood in front of the Laugh In The Dark ride at Meyers Lake Amusement Park. She and the ride scared the crap out of me!!! 😳
Laughing Sal was frightening enough for me as an adult, in daylight, and behind glass! The museum is very nice. I had been there about 7 years prior and it has improved even in that short time.
Hey Tolle, the big Business guys like Morgan and Rockefeller wanted to get rid of Teddy Roosevelt because he wanted to break up monopolies... so they thought vice president would be a good place to put him; that didn't work out very well for them ;>} We can always count on you to find the NCR's !
Nice fade in! Did not remember a pair of presidents being assassinated and killed in the 20th century. More steps than Rocky, me thinks. Dewey Decimal System…supposedly better than the Truman system, right? Love that old city mockup. Milwaukee Public Museum has that. Free lunch with beer? Miller High Life, thank you! Wheeeeeee! I AM too old for that. Top hat…OOOOOLD school. Yeah, that woman in the dress was a Rick James super freak. And that thing you rode in sounded like me doing a guitar duet with a hyena.
