Willie D of the Geto Boys discusses his new song "Coon" and what makes you a coon today, his relationship with Scarface and the Geto Boys and much more. #BreakfastClub
Didnt like his coment about the fan saying "what about the bald head hoes" Willi all u had to do is laugh..not act ignorant about it! I mean u did say it..and it made u a ton of loot..pshh to Willi
Finally a Breakfast Club interview thats NOT about a bunch of Gossip, who got a new alcohol line out, who said what and who´s fuckin who... Just pure unadulturated hiphop history. Great interview. Shit was interesting Much props to Willie D! He a real one. #Legendary
Right...this interview was dope and I know for a fact that if they made him a frequent visitor their ratings would sour...willie is someone everyone can relate to...dope...
True dat. I found out they only play a few minutes of the interview on the radio. They need to say " check out the full interview on RU-vid" just like I just found out that the breakfast club comes on on the weekend and they have a countdown and the donkey of the week. Who knew?? The radio is about making$ from advertising and I'm not mad. The TV and the movies and music is the same way but we have to learn how to get the important message across. The deepest shit that Willie D said was AFTER DJ Envy first said " ok good bye Willie D has to go " and Yee & C tha God said "No, we still have more questions " See, that's that bullshit we all gotta look out for.
***** go watch the breakfast club interview with scarface. He flat out said he wrote the whole song. 2. Did you not listen to this interview. Willie also said there were times he wrote for Face and vice versa
Ember M I say the same. Its funny how some fans wont let the OG's grow and evolve into better people. They want them to be the same knucklehead they were when they were kids.
Another Great Interview. INTELLIGENT brother. Willie D just too real for the entertainment industry and don't bite his tongue on shit. True OG and Legend
"He's Back"!!! Willie bro just want you to know that we're (H-Town) proud of you and we stand behind you 2000%. This is "D", you're homie and your old neighbor. Salute!!!
MrZLeroy92 But the gangster lifestyle, and the real one with guns, drugs, living in constant fear of getting run up on and killed, is not something good.
Oh thats not gone ever happen they too real for main stream its always a message and a story thats to real fa industry rapping and Diddy black balled them back in the day thats why they get no air time thats why i dont like Puff Daddy till this day he black balled them
@@avick5634 hell ya.... Diddy came up off them cause they was popping in the south ..but the thing with Diddy if you notice anybody he ever had he does a 2 album deal with them then he moves on to something new...Ti sign them but I don't think he really push their album...
The problem is mjg let eightball do most of the talking, I wanna pick mjg's brain . I have been around eightball a few times, but mjg is a lil of a recluse
And if you're cold you gon sneeze/I ain't giving you my coat/So I can freeze.... I don't give a damn if you don't got a seat/my feet hurt too/You ain't no better than me. I ain't no gentleman. Classic😂
5th Ward Boyz!!! One of O.G. Willie D, best verses was on P.W.A.... For those that are really DOWN SOUTH HIP HOP HEADS... KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING BOUT!!!
This is one of your best interviews to date...hall need to have him on as a regular...dude brings light and delight to the show and is a true story teller...awesome interview guys...
I Beverly salute you Willie D.you is so real and so down too earth,You sho holds your own Soul brother, thats right Stand up for your rights,i wish these other black mens get a strong back bone like Willie D.,more Power To The Peoples!
Im talking more in terms of the quality of guest that have been appearing recently.Hillary, Dick Gregory, Tariq Nasheed, Senator Nina Turner etc. Theyre expanding beyond music and providing an outlet for social commentary. I dont necessarily depend on them to ask all the right questions. i really dont expect radio Djs to be scholars. I do however expect them to get these types of conversations started and bring attention to issues.
Wow. They don't make men like Willie D no more. When he was taking about principles it really sounded like a lost concept. Capitalism destroyed all principle.
I say it all the time. We live in a amoral society. No one cares about principals like loyalty, kindness or right and wrong. It's all about acquiring power and wealth by any means necessary.
