Willie Nelson performs "Funny How Time Slips Away," "Crazy" and "Night Life" with Lukas Nelson at the Farm Aid concert in Saratoga Springs, NY on September 21, 2013. Farm Aid was started by Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp in 1985 to keep family farmers on the land and has worked since then to make sure everyone has access to good food from family farmers. Dave Matthews joined Farm Aid's board of directors in 2001.

There never will be another person who could write songs for other people that he eventually made number-one hits. One of the best and he's still breathing.

Interesting to see all the negativity in the comments. Gotta tell you I was flat mesmerized by his presence, phrasing, and just downright inhabiting all three elements of this medley. As it ended, I found myself thinking "damn, the man was 80 years old at the time of this performance! The technical skills may fade, but Willie has forgotten more than most artists will ever know about 'selling' a song." I am in awe. Happy birthday, Willie. Play on.

I noticed that Willie never stopped singing. He never stopped playing his guitar, the other stopped and they passed away not long after they stopped singing.

Pretty interesting voicings. Mix of gypsy, flamenco, country, jazz and soul of willie. Such an amazing dessert of music created by willie using above ingredients.

The naysayers just don't get it. This is so entertaining, and I think self-effacing on Willie's part, though his genius still shines through. Did you notice that he quoted "Jingle Bells" at the end? Or were you too full of yourself and hoping to judge a talent that dwarfs your own to really listen to one of our National Treasures?

acctually i quite disagree age is just a state of mind and yea of coarse there may be a few Wrinkles here and there but i don't think age has affected his ability at all and to be honest i think he sounds great! :D

Gee Lovely one Jones, you sure do make Christianity sound appealing. It sure must be nice to not have anything in your own life that needs worked on so that you can devote all your time judging and critiquing others. You have no idea what's in Willie's heart and you have no place to point a finger. The bible says we ALL have sinned and cone short of the glory of God. The bible also says "judge not lest he be judged in likewise manner. " Next time search your own heart, find out what you need worked on, and stop using Christ as an excuse to badmouth other people. People like you give Christianity a bad name. I'll be praying for you!
