When American treasures are talked about, none will stand taller than Mr. Willie Nelson. This new CD is among his finest. Adopting 70 horses and the upkeep that takes is unimaginable. But leave it to Willie to pull it off. If you've never owned a horse or two you'll never understand just how majestic an animal they are. To stand in front of one and have them put their head on your shoulder is unadulterated love and trust. To run your hands down one of their legs, with their veins popping out in their leg muscles is unbelievable. When the Good Lord created these noble beasts He knew exactly what he was giving us. We on the other hand had no idea what uses we'd have for them to do. Only Willie could capture that spirit, that feeling and put it to music so beautiful, it would bring a man to his knees. God bless this American hero who doesn't really see himself as a hero at all. Just a country boy making music. To me, he is what all men should aspire to be. Willie, thank you so much for all of the music you've made. A extra special thank you for this wonderful CD that I will play until the day that I die. You ARE the American Hero, Sir ! May God Bless.

This song is close to my heart.... I have taken in many horses that have been faithful to their owners until they become broken and then they are thrown away like trash. I take them in, give them the medical attention they need and let them live out their days on my small farm.... breaks my heart that I can’t help more

I'm reading his latest autobiography (for the second time) and nothing makes me feel like Willie Nelson can with his words. Writing books or songs, he brings me along with him. I may be old as dirt, but I love Willie.

@@soggy_cotton8563 I didn't mean "country" as in only "country music" I meant as in his "country" in which he lives, however, Willie is world renowned and can sing many genres of music and do it very well. Yes, Happy 86th belated birthday Willie Nelson which was April 29, keep on keeping on!!! ♥♥
