Just picked up a 92X compact (non-railed) on Gunbroker for $526. It has the "D" spring, recessed target crown, extended mag release, and as a bonus, a dovetailed, replaceable front sight. All the practical features of the Wilson Combat CC plus one the Wilson doesn't have, but at half the price. Just gotta buy the G conversion and it'll be a masterpiece

The compact is discontinued because Beretta wasn't keeping up on their part and the full size won't be back in until September. I had to wait like 17 weeks for mine and only got it because Wilson bought one back from a dealer or distributor and did the work that I wanted. If you don't want to wait if they'll even let you then you'll have to overpay for one.

Rough Rider99 Go to Wilson Combat and try to order one.. Oh it's not there. The person I had to deal with to just get my Full Size told me this too. Brittany Combs (Wilson Combat Support) Jul 1, 08:43 CDT Beretta informed us that not only have they have discontinued our Compact project but that they are extremely behind in their production schedules and we will not see any shipments of the full size Brigadiers until sometime in September or so. I apologize for the delay in our shipments but we are unfortunately at the mercy of Beretta on this project. Thanks for this important if slightly cryptic review Chris. And I really like that gun. I know this is a tardy comment, but here goes... Perhaps you just wanted to say that this is a fantastic range/training gun which can double as a ccw. Seems its special features probably won't make us any safer during a gun fight, but they can really inspire us to train harder. Logically, it helps if a defender can carry the weapon he has trained with.

The 92X Compact basically makes this firearm an afterthought. The basic 92X is cheaper, has all the upgraded parts and offered in either the F or G models. Add an LTT “trigger in a bag” and you have a firearm equivalent to the WC that cost several hundred dollars less.

That's exactly what I just bought....a 92X compact with a rail and the G decocker only model. Paid $740 out the door for it....still a bit of cash but not when compared to it being $1000-1200 like some of these wilson combat models. I literally searched every store that carries guns in a 50 mile radius of my house, and managed to pick up the last one after about 10 stores all said they didn't even have a regular Beretta 92, let alone a 92x compact G. I dont see myself ever getting rid of this gun. I grew up in the 80s and 90s watching every movie and tv show have Beretta 92s in them, so this was one of my holy grail guns to pick up.

I'm sorry but Beretta makes the most beautiful handguns I've ever seen, and I absolutely love the M9 with the decocker. Sorry Glock fanboys, no hate towards Glocks, in fact I think they are incredible pistols, but the wow factor is definitely in Beretta s favor IMO. I run just a standard m9, with a flashlight, no red dot, no fancy crap, just a great holster and constant training with that same gun.

@bbhrdzaz

A decocker safety blocks the hammer as it is rotated to safe position. the hammer falls on the blocking feature and cannot strike the firing pin. there is also a firing pin block on the slide that prevents firing unless the trigger was pulled back.

Full size 92 a boat anchor ? Not everyone feels that way . For years I carried a full sized Beretta 92 in a Galco S.O.B holster ( concealed carry ) and sometimes in addition to that I carried as a backup / secondary a S&W model 5906 in a Galco Miami Vice shoulder rig . Dressed ' GQ ' and never had a problem with concealment or them being too heavy . I admit at the time I worked out at the gym and sometimes at home .

That’s a ridiculous argument. Of course the odds you need any feature on a firearm are tiny. Until you DO need them. Then it’s life or death. There are video document gunfights where people died while trying to reload. There is absolutely a chance a gun fight could take place at longer ranges than 10 yards. There is also a good chance if you need to discharge your firearm you will need to be able to rapid fire and burst as many rounds as possible into center mass under stress. The weight, accuracy, lower felt recoil, and negligible muzzle flip of that beretta compared to a micro single stack 9mm WILL be a factor. Your argument is flawed. Even with a new shooter. My niece can barely get A zone hits at 10 meters while rapid firing a p365. She’s fine single shot but she’s not experienced enough to manage the muzzle flip. With her CZ 75 compact PCR she can drill 6 round bursts into the A zone at 10 yards consistently. The shootability of your carry piece is absolutely a factor. Especially when it comes to follow up shots. Never assume one shot of 9mm is going to stop an attack. You drill with shots until the threat is stopped.

Sight conversions? same deal. You can look on their website for the variety of different options you can get for your gun.

+Carter Matthew I have no use for a sub-compact 45. No one can shoot them well and it doesn't do anything a Glock 26 can't do.
@azcop2
@azcop2 7 лет назад
Obviously you do not have to carry a gun on a duty belt for 8, 10, or + hours. When seconds and hits on target count, consistent trigger pull is vital. I am a L/E firearms instructor and people do struggle with accuracy with DA/SA pistols. Also, many shooters forget to decock or remove the safety on the Beretta, which result in unsafe conditions.
@peterhansen2781
@peterhansen2781 6 лет назад
Cops probably struggle with accuracy because most of them are not very good at shooting. When seconds and hits on target count, proper training and practice count more than if you have a striker fired or DA/SA pistol in your hands.

At 2 1/2 pounds loaded with a 4.25” barrel length, in Beretta’s twisted minds, they call this a ‘compact’ model. Are they kidding.
@slaughterhound8793

In fairness, they do call it a "compact", not a sub-compact, which is how most CCW pistols are classified these days.

The BIN price is $2000, but it's unlikely anyone will bite because it's not worth that much. They are going to be hard to come by, but if you really want one, eventually a used one from a private seller will be priced more reasonably. Or you could have a standard 92 Compact modified by WC to the same specs as the 92G CC for a lot less than $2K.
@azcop2
@azcop2 7 лет назад
Glock43 and S&WShield are much more compact and less expensive. Glock and the S&W Shield have a consistent trigger pull. Virtually no Law Enforcement Agency deploys the Beretta and the Military is transitioning to another sidearm.
@Geeios1
@Geeios1 7 лет назад
The Italian made Beretta is all metal, except for the grips, single action trigger after the first round, increase shooter accuracy. Plastic hype, plastic flex, weight hype, hokey pivot trigger, DAO, all hurt the shooter accuracy. So round count hype makes up for it? Not really, since you have to account for every bullet. The standard FS compact should do just fine.
@peterhansen2781
@peterhansen2781 6 лет назад
Single stack subcompact pistols are smaller than a doublestack compact? Imagine that. The beretta is reliable, has plentiful mags, and can be made to have an awesome trigger pull in both DA and SA with a cheap spring and hammer swap. Once you actually know how to shoot the DA/SA transition isn't hard and having a decocked hammer makes reholstering while carrying AIWB much safer.

Have you thought about also putting your videos up on full30.com? Since RU-vid has become so shitty about censoring videos and images, even historical ones, I have started trying to watch my favorite shooting videos on full30 instead of RU-vid as they don't filter or censor the videos or images. I wouldn't be surprised if the libertards that run Google and RU-vid decided to stop carrying these "horrible" gun videos any day.
