What I want to know, are we suppose to get the permit here in our own state before going to the training? I am in Troutdale, OR. and what sections do we study for? I was looking into Prime Inc, and they said Gen. Knowledge, A.B. Combo and Tank. is Wilson different for permit?
Yes, you get your permit in your home state before you come to Wilson. After you get to Montana, you have to retake your CDL permit test at the Montana DMV. For Wilson, its just Gen. Knowledge, Air brake, and Combo. No tanker.

When Bear teaches you the step by step on backing maneuvers don’t over think it. He simplifies it pretty good so just go by what he says. Also study hard on the pre trip exactly how it’s printed in the binder. They’re going to test you on it a couple times before your CDL test.
@@CommonTerryComedy no longer with Wilson but I’ll never look back. Getting my Cdl is the best thing I ever did. I work locally in Portland making 33$ an hour plus overtime
After you get your cdl you usually get to go home for a bit to get your license at the DMV. After that you could be out for two months without any hometime.
@@bobnob3496 so after after after the 3 weeks of school , you get to go home to get license & then comeback for over the road training or do they send over the road right after school?
