Just wanted to thank you for posting these videos! I've been thinking of going through wilson to obtain my cdl and your insight into the program has been appreciated! Keep the vids coming bro.
Randomly found this video and it was super helpful. I’m getting my CPAP machine this Wednesday.. going to the school in Missouri for Wilson a month after that. Super excited but also nervous I appreciate the videos man keep ‘‘em coming
Ready to take my permit test in California I believe you had said the Montana test is not much different been looking at Wilson for a couple months and watching your videos glad you're on your own believe you said Montana is not much different from your state test
Thank you for the content. Considering Wilson for their program. Could you give me an idea on the reality of the miles you are getting as a solo driver weekly? How many weeks are you really out? Home time, etc? Thanks so much!
About a month into my 30,000 miles now can't wait to get out on my own!!..did wilson tell you o e day home for every week out also?their job postings said home weekends but after getting my cdl I see that changed looking to get i5 route myself
What they meant by 1 day home for every week out is if you’re out for 3 weeks you can take 3 days for home time but they want you to stay out for a minimum of 3 weeks at a time. Just do your year then go find a smaller company closer to where you live that gives you weekends off. That’s what I did! Just stay away from mega carriers if you want home time.
@@freemygrandma8752 if you’re referring to Wilson I was there from February 2019 to February 2020 and it was good for a starting company but I’ve been at another smaller company based in my hometown for the past 3 years and I’m making a little more money and getting way more home time. If you’re in training I highly suggest not doing lease till you’ve got a year of experience and don’t spend more then $200 a week on yourself and save the rest of your check then after a year you will have a massive savings..that is if your single with no kids to pay for and don’t have any serious bills back home like a car payment or rent. Just stay at your parents or rent a hotel when your doing home time. Just save as much money as you can and after your year is up you will have 25k-35k in the bank that you can throw down on a house or a car then find a job where your home more and can actually enjoy spending your money. I know that answer was a lot more then you asked but trust me it’ll be worth it.
Wilson pays .47cpm + .05cpm fuel incentive. Driver's average 2,500 miles per week. The Western portion of Wilson was purchased by Ashley furniture, so he probably works for them right now.
I went through the program in 2019 started in February and was solo by the start of May. It’s about a 2 1/2- 3 month training process. Once you get your license you’ll be making minimum $600 a week while in training.
Got a question kinda stupid one would Wilson let someone not hired to just ride with you not drive say you was married and you wanted to bring her with you
Phoenix is aweful. I hate Arizona. lol. Montana is the best. You work for Wilson Logistics so you can get those Montana routes. I'm getting ready to start training with Wilson.
@@christopherclements5909 those type of jobs is good for people that dont have any kids... im just going to go to a private school and rather pay out of my pocket and work local... starting january imma do it..
@@Imdimplez83 Why do local ?? If you can, do the O.T.R or the regional thing for at least the 1st year. Stay w/fam or friends on your home time and bank most of what you earn. You should have no less then 45k after year 1 if you do that. ...and why is this guy not answering any questions?
