We love WinCo and your devotion to customers and empkoyees. ALDI is moving in. We need you to out compete this foreign company. We need a WinCo in The Dalles, OR, Astoria or Warrenton, OR. And how about online and television advertising?

Thank you! We are very proud of our employee-owned company! We don't advertise much because it saves us MILLIONS of dollars a year, that we pass on to our customers in the a lot of different ways - mostly low prices. :) We will definitely let our real estate team know you'd like a WinCo closer to you! Not liking the racial themes in this video. Why is it necessary to put out a video, 50% of which is effectively stating "We hire people of different races!"... The motivation to say that is completely un-American. Why give racism so much credit that you have to positively state that you hire people of different races? I'm a formerly trans person, whose closest friends are both currently trans. We each personally dislike being tokenized and having ignorant people, blamelessly ignorant but ignorant nonetheless, trip over themselves to address us based primarily off of that one aspect of our identities. I'm bringing this up to illustrate how despicable things have become, that being on some stupid corporate "Rainbow" of race or gender is so important to your identity, that you are dehumanized into the terms they are addressing you as. Additionally, I recognize the snap judgement prepared in many people's minds regarding criticism on this subject. If I didn't bring this up, I'm sure people would just assume I'm a Nazi for daring to criticize how utterly >racial< America has become. My parents named me after Morgan Freeman. You know what he has said on this subject? "Stop talking about it.". Legitimizing race as a primary metric, or a metric of any kind, empowers racism to an astronomical degree. Regardless of your good intentions; "Don't feed wild animals" - and "Don't legitimize racists through racialization". We already know that you hire Americans.

Not sure how (or why) you managed to try and swing this into anything more than exactly what is seen. You are reading between lines that aren't there. In today's climate you need to state inclusion and show it with POC/LGBT so they can affirm that inclusion. Even if people like me couldn't care less about it, all we want is our cashiers to do 100%+ every week, our outer departments to look clean and fully stocked for our customers, our freight crews to be throwing 100+ cases an hour to restock our shelves in a timely efficient manner, that our parking lots are clear with the cart rooms full and pushed so customers can have the fullest most well rounded shopping experience. There are no lines to read between here. The company doesn't care about who or what you are as long as you do your job. Not everything in this world has an agenda against the groups of this world. If you want to stop something, stop talking about it? Then why did you bring it up?

Sigh. I didn't notice. Guess I am ignorant. I do see diversity in hiring, promotion, and management. I have respected such hiring decisions.
