This must be the best small boat sailing footage ever recorded anywhere. Lovely how you make us feel like we're also on board. What a privilege. Thanks!
Ditto Smokey Ribs...If you love sailing, watch "Free Range Sailing". So nice to see you two smiling more than ever. Thats what sailing does for Real Sailors. Looking forward to many more Smiles and Smiles of Free Range Sailing.
Thank you, a channel that actually has real sailing, I watch a lot of other channels but they are more about drama, food or exploring on land, great to see some actual sailing, very well presented vids.
Fantastic stuff. Thanks for making this video. I love watching your stuff because it’s one of the few channels where I don’t need to watch people who don’t know how to sail learn through the school of hard-knocks. Those are entertaining, but this is truly enjoyable!
What a sail what a boat .. what a beautiful thing to watch in motion.. seeing the albatross and dolphins made it even more beautiful.. I really enjoyed this episode.. ✌🏻💗😊❣️
Having watched the complete refit, I am excited to see everything working well. The hob, cockpit, rigging, electrical, dodger, etc. It's like I'm right there and remembering all your work. Awesome!
Today i' ll write in french. C' est vraiment agréable de pouvoir passer un bon moment en votre "compagnie", si on peut le dire. Ce que c' est beau de naviguer à voile!!! Et de se laisser aller même si le vent rugit. Merci.
Absolutely great sailing! The Stay-Sail and Head-Sail configuration still looked beautiful. And, I love the colors of your spinnaker! All the way from San Francisco, California and I'm so happy and proud for both of you as you really are pure sailing joy to watch! And, while watching, I was actually a tad bit jealous I was not sailing along beside you in a buddy boat. That is what I call an EPIC SAIL from Tazzy to Mainland! Anxiously awaiting your cruise across the bight!!!
Your back better than ever. You have the most down to earth personalities of all the sailing vlogs I watch . It’s wonderful to see you two over the moon with such joy. You both worked so hard to get to this point, it’s great to watch you both happy and relaxed again.
I love that you guys have incorporated some 'this is how we do the actual sailing' segments to your videos. Footage paired with the excellent narration makes it very enjoyable to watch as a nautically impaired citydude (:
Yes indeed. Allows one to contemplate the somewhat seesaw embrace of breathing, literally. Sitting where on a scale of comfort with mother nature’s power? Whew gotsta have some huevos to be willing to meet your maker on this highly invigorating ride with now. Breath taking inspiring and scary as hell all rolled in.
Thank you, great sailing video! Looks like your refit was completely successful, the boat looks to sail very well. I would appreciate a detailed review of your VHF/AIS radio sometime.
Talk about up close and personal, feel like I'm surfing the waves with you. You don't need polished fancy videos it your content that captures us. True seamanship in challenging seas, no foolishness, an going where most dare to go .... Bravo !!
You guys have an astonishing ability to put us right there in the boat with you. It is truly amazing to be able to experience and understand your love of the sea and sailing though it, always looking for every opportunity to improve the trim of the boat to keep her happy in the conditions. Great to see you guys back where you belong.
Love that SH 2200. I have the same radio and it got me a cross the English channel last September in thick fog. Like you say, it gives s great sense of security to be able to see other traffic. It prompted me to fit a full AIS system over the (UK) winter. Now I can be seen as well as see 👍
Awesome, no other words work. We have the same radio, and our spare is its predecessor. One great aspect is you can call the ais target vessel directly using a dsc call. The bad part is many folks down here don't know what a dsc call looks like. My mate was going to get the techo in because his radio was making funny noises.
I think you two are nuts. But I really like the videos that you put out. We only hope one day we can meet you two. I will need some boat work done when we do meet, LOL. Stay safe, Mark and Camille from Tennessee USA
Bravo Pascale ! This video was fascinating! I was sailing along with you guys. Pascale back at cooking, Troy gives us the insight on sailing! Has anyone ever mentioned that Troy looks like Don Quixote? Instead of a horse it’s a boat.
Just before 8 minutes I am thinking something is in my hot tea other than tea. Why ? Well Troy is stuck on the ceiling defining gravity. Oh the shot is from the deck he is in the companion way. Wow.
One of your very best sailing videos to date ! Thanks for sharing. I realize you spend a lot of time and hard work putting this production together and I really appreciate it! Cheers
You are top sailors, it takes knowledge to sail these waters with such a small ship. Also, you must love each other very much to tolerate each other in such a small space and in these harsh conditions. Good luck
I am glad you made it robe, my ex mum inlaw lives there, many happy holiday memories and some big swell looking for crayfish pots. Great to see the sailing
Yay for sailing! This and last issue were Great! Miss the fishing action however... put those lines in! 🐟 It’s ok to show affection 💕too, it’s not all technical ya know! 😊
