Hey All! First and foremost, this is a great movie. It's also has an important issue to shine a light on. Starts off as a slow-burn, but man oh man, what a climax to this film.

One of the most underrated movies of all time.

Bear spray. Different than pepper spray. It’s way worse. You can tell by the size of the canister & the spray volume that comes out as well as the sound it makes. It’s bad bad at close contact like that on human eyes & nostrils.

Broke down the first time I saw this in theaters, broke down again in the car, and I break down every time I rewatch it or watch someone react to it. It never fails to hit me like a ton of bricks.

It's very powerful indeed. I don't cry very often, and the fact this one almost made me cry at the very end of the movie says something. I did fight it back pretty hard. You had a great choice of movie, this one will stick with you!

Both Renner's and Sheridan's best work by a long shot. Phenomenal film.

"I was ready to quit." That's perhaps the worst feeling imaginable that a father or anyone can experience after losing someone that they've invested so much of their time, their love, and their life into. During that final dialogue between the father's at the end of the film it was just so obvious that Renner's friend was likely preparing himself to let go of this life entirely; which is certainly a feeling that many who have suffered such loss can relate to.😔

For those who don`t know: I guess his most famous movie role was Kicking Bird in "Dances with wolves" with Kevin Costner. Guy has such a great face!

I read, and heard about people who live in snowy places like this, that the cold and the snow drives them crazy. And yet, I sit here, mid Europe, the Hungarian Plain, no air conditioning in the house. Since May till September the heat is unbearable + I hate the summer and anything above 18-20C. Outside it's 40C, inside 34. No air to breath. Life stands still. And I don't understand Nordic people's misery over the cold. Just don't get it. I like the movie btw.

This film still makes me tear up, especially the “she ran six miles in the snow” line. Hello from the Navajo Nation.

Very respectful reaction I might add. The one reaction I attempted to watch before yours was extremely disrespectful & after just 10 minutes in, I thumbed down it (which I hardly NEVER do except for extreme cases). Thank you for sharing your reaction. Cherokee heritage here so this meant a lot.

Great movie, powerful. Taylor Sheridan is great. Sicario and Hell or High Water are also absolute bangers

Hi Mike. I just became aware of your channel today. I was so excited to see a reaction to Wind River! I think this is an extremely important topic and heartbreaking to know the complete lack of stats regarding missing indigenous Native American women. It’s a gut punch. This scene depicts a common practice with Native American women when grieving. 16:30 I’m pretty sure these bones are pieces of the livestock the lion family killed and brought back to the den. 33:28 I had the incredible honor of seeing the world premiere of Wind River at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival with a commentary from Taylor Sheridan and most of the cast after the screening. Regarding Jeremy Renner’s amazing performance, he said that in trying to portray Corey, Taylor told him to “imagine a piece of steel banging against granite.” Jeremy Renner said the challenge of playing the role of Corey was that he was a man who felt deeply but couldn’t show it. I think that’s what makes the final scene with him and Martin sitting together out in the backyard in the snow so touching. They could deeply feel their shared grief together. I love this movie and really appreciate your insightful commentary so much! Thanks

Watch *"The Accused"* _(1988),_ with Jodie Foster. (53:31) Peer pressure _(direct or indirect)_ is a hell of a thing. I once entered a room, only to find six friends of mine in an attempt to commit a gang -a-e. I am in the happy position to write "in an attempt", because I stepped in and ended it, as soon as I saw what was happening. But, if you had asked me just one hour prior to that event, whether any of those guys would be capable of doing something like that - my answer would have been a resounding: "no! of course not! what are you even thinking!?" But...in a group, where one bad apple is the "strong" leader and the other _(weaker ones)_ are used to follow his ideas and example? And there wasn't even alcohol involved. Just six guys who decided to have some fun. And I'm pretty sure, if they had pulled it through, at least four of them would have felt very bad - afterwards. But, of course, that wouldn't have changed anything anymore.

That end scene could be good education film for police to show how NOT TO approach group of armed professionals among who there is probably murderer/-s.

That ending once they get to the drill stations is one of the best I’ve seen on film. It all came out of nowhere so fast and so intense. Great reaction

Hey! Great reaction as always! I think you would enjoy “the cure” (1995). The two main characters are played by Brad Renfro (one of the child actors in sleepers) and Joseph Mazello. It’s quite emotionally heavy and could be classified as drama/coming of age. It’s a great and in my opinion way too underrated 90s gem. The acting and the pacing is really well done and it hits you right in the feels that way. I enjoy your reactions and way of speaking and would love if this movie got more attention. I don’t comment that often on RU-vid but I’d love to recommend this to you. (I only just subscribed to you on my account on my phone, I’ve been subscribed longer on that on my computer, only if you were wondering)
