Another windy Ohio afternoon in March causes a semi to tip over, shutting down the westbound lanes of Route 30. The Wilcox crew wastes no time getting this truck back on its wheels and the roadway back open.

Excellent job guys! I just have one question. Doesn’t a rollover like this damage the fifth wheel components on both the tractor and the trailer?

Thank you, Mike! It can definitely be gut wrenching on the windy rollovers like these until we are safe back at the shop. We are fortunate to have plenty of work to justify adding another rotator, and we are certainly looking forward to its arrival! Thanks for watching.

Glad it was a safe recovery what happens to the trucks you take back to the shop? Just interested as in the UK we dont see this much

We usually take them back to our shop until insurance decides what to do. In this case, we had the truck stored for a few days, and then towed it to a repair shop a few hours away.

That wind was ripping looked the idea of using other wrecker to block the wind. Will you keep the red truck when the second rotator arrives? You made it look easy again see ya next time!

Yes, we are keeping the red truck, so the rotator will be an addition. We had all 3 heavy trucks busy all morning today, one call being a double semi crash! Unfortunately, we didn't get footage of it though!
