I love your videos and truly appreciate everything I have learned from you. Please NEVER just cut cable ties, they need to be cut flush or twisted/broken in such a way that they do not leave a sharp edge. Just hold the tail of the cable tie with the tip of your pliers and twist, they will snap off without leaving an edge that can cut.
Thanks for that guide. The pulleys don't turn any more. Will the ladder still function to some extent? (10 months later). My Bailey ladder, bought 2001, has the upper pulley on the sliding ladder. The tie-off rope has to be short so it doesn't jam into this pulley. The lower end rope ring has rusted but I was able to tie it to the protruding bolt. Although the pulleys don't turn, they still function as slip points.
