Neat trick with the windows, I have used the scraps and glued them into place and trimed after dried to make up for being short of materials on a cheap window rattle stopped the shake and no one knew unless you pointed it out.
i love your truck so much , it would be impossible to build one like that in holland and drive it on the roads. my brother in law made a pickup from a pacer back in the 80's and it was not allowed on the roads. holland the land of the shltty laws , it holds people back to be creative like you guys hats of and peace
That front facing camera makes for an awesome burnout cam for when your at a cruise night and the guy infront of ya let's the smoke out!!! I recently found your channel and have locked myself inside a closet to binge watching your entire playlist! Lmfao! I have been welding and fabricating for about 30+ years growing up on a farm I have made my fair share of custom tools and parts but you Sir you are an absolute artist! I would give anything to be able to work in your shop with you to be able to soak in as much knowledge as I could. My father was alit like you are however unfortunately he passed away when I was very young. I absolutely love the style of work you do and the way you take stuff most people would throw away and make it into something. That was exactly how my father was and luckily he was able to pass that to me before he passed so watching your videos for me is almost nostalgic. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing talent with all of us! Keep up the awesome work it really is awesome to watch you build these great rods! The General is especially one of my favorites because we used to have 2 international tractors just like that and I learned how to drive them very very young hauling grain off the field of our family farm! Thanks again for sharing!
Enjoy your videos, it's heartwarming, living what you're doing vicariously, takes me back to the days when I was younger working on my own cars, improvising, improving, failing then succeeding, but now with no car, no garage, no tools, living in a 300 sq. fr. studio apartment, I count on you for the nostagia. Thank you.
Lindsey hi there,, my brother born 1920,,, flew B-17s over Germany,,, Memphis Belle ,,, fame,,,,yeah i was born April 5th 1941,,,, Edwin J Thompson ,,,,AZ
Top Dawg Carona and I were pleasantly surprised with a NEW video of the Gerneral! I wish I could share a picture in the comments. VERY creative using velcro in the window channels! It cracks me up how Pablo lets himself out!
I just love your channel. I am not any kind of fabricator or mechanic but i still love to watch your process of finding and fixing stuff. Its just what i would expect from a can do Canadian. Greetings from Britain land and keep on doin what ya doin.
Brent ,,, you brought back memories of my hotrod days back in Utah,,,, custom painting ,,, with net-curtain airbrushing pictures on doors ,,, great fun,,,flames across the hoods n wings ,,,,,, Ed
Pieces of plywood pushed into tracks after putting velcro in will push it into the corners . What my son did used black weatherstrip glue left it over night worked like a champ. There was a guy online that would make glides out milk jug plastic for older cars and trucks.
The General is looking great!!!! I thought you'd be leaning on the air-horn as you pulled in, then I realized you might have deafened your dog... The pick-up truck roof came out very well!
Hot Damn the General looks good!! Great idea with the velcro. The bed plywood has some nice grain to it actually Brent you're so right when you "go with what you know" Music is a real beauty too!! Another poifect Friday night
Camera backwards? Congratulations Brent! You invented the first time machine! You can only go back in time, not forward. Will come in handy to find parts and stuff you lost!!🤣
Well big brother....I see your catching up on the final details on the truck. A real surprise to say the least. I like it, when your keeping up with needy things that's needed. Hey it's the General..........Salute
I will definitely be trying the velcro if I can find some here in Georgia, good idea ! When you came in the door my thought was "Here comes the Beast " but I like the General !
Got a buddy from tasmania and apparently his father was obsessed with using "sump oil"on anything and everything outdoors around their farm. Great idea and usage for old oil if You think about it
Good Vid as usual, home made is the go, cheap is great , function over form............... most times, the General is one slick unique beast, send it to me immediately.
Anything you spend on the general is money well spent, it's a one off. Just love those fat tyres (as we spell it in the UK), they look perfect. Just waiting for doggo's seal of approval now lol.
Thank you for the great information! I have a 1951 GMC short bed with the same window felt problem. Just got back from my fabric store $.89 a metre and my problem is solved. That works slicker than goose shit! No more rattling draughty windows for less than three dollars a window! Fuck you got a love that. Watching half ass videos is time well wasted.
For my untreated 3/4 inch plywood floor in my little metal workshop. I used used black motor oil and an old broom from a brush. The oil absorbs into the plywood and the water beads off to squeegee out or let it air dry and it is not slippery. My shed's been built 20 years and there is no warping and the color actually looked good flat black.
