I don't know if anybody has told you yet, but the slip mats are not for the floor! They are for your turntable so that when you play a record it doesn't skip but when you don't have a record on it, it's a decorative cover. The color on the product was so light though that it was easy to miss the small hole in the center that it's shaped like a record

Yes, yes, and YESSS on this...Taylor Swift earned 93M dollars last year. There is NO way there was no abuse of labour somewhere along the line. No one needs to rake in that much money that quickly.

I love my heart-shape lover purse, but it came apart pretty quickly. Judging by the quick turnaround and low quality of the items, I would bet all this stuff comes from the exploitative fast fashion industry, which I can’t say I’m interested in supporting by buying more merch. I love Taylor, so I’m hoping for the day when she releases sustainable, long-lasting pieces that I can treasure for years.

THANK YOU for being critical. I am tired of the greediness and I personally don’t buy anything from her merch. It’s reached new high with the scarcity marketing. The fact that it’s mostly uninspired items, made by someone who is probably being exploited….. Yeah, it’s a no from me. I do think that Taylor needs a wake up call in this department. But as long as stans are buying, it will not happen. Love her mostly but this is one of the big dents in her character for me.

I have the theory that she wants to do it all, like, I´ll design the lyric videos and direct them and I´ll design the merch too! Honestly I think the majority of the merch is meh. The etsy unofficial merch is 10 times better, just because, as you said, I don't always wanna wear her full face on a shirt or a hoodie. I'm so glad I can embroider because I can make what I want.

Feel like the next potential "cancelation" esque moment for Taylor will be questioning the ethics of her brand and empire. Every time she drops merch I am baffled as to why a billionaire with an obvious interest in making more money would not hire a legitimate artist or graphic designer. Admit you need help with design! There is no shame in it, she has no training. I have been a fan since Debut, but the only merch I have are the Folklore and 1989 cardigans. I wanted the seagulls as the elbow patches, but I did call that it would have seagulls when the album was announced. My Folklore cardigan came apart at the shoulder seams pretty quickly, but I am handy with a needle and repaired them with variegated yarn in cool colors. I get lots of compliments. The 1989 knit has a nicer hand.

I enjoy t shirts all day every day. Nothing fed me and my style quite like the Red era. 1989 was a little too bright and cheery but I do regret not getting the seagull sweater because if you know you know. It was a subtle nod. Reputation also gave me that subtle swiftian thing as well. It sucks when you feel compelled to get a piece of merch from every era and they flop. I have nothing from 1989 and evermore and I feel as though I got suckered into folklore only because a jacket went on sale.

i think to a certain point taylor also whole heartedly believes we want this merch. weather it’s her team or universal. she still probably sees this stuff and i think she genuinely thinks we want it. the lover merch was okay and the folklore designs were good but it all went down hill after evermore in terms of design, product, AND sustainability. overall her merch is just very well rounded in the fact that it’s kind of terrible…

I'm a swiftie who is getting 2 merch pieces for Christmas, and I agree with you that merch for every single lyric is excessive, and is way too expensive for what it is. The only good things seem to be the tour merch which are the exact same print on different basic colours of hoodie and shirt. They lack in creativity and are way way too expensive what I also realised is that the photos look so bad because they're all CGI, they don't even wait for any items to arrive as testers. I think the items would look a lot more appealing if they took NOT-EDITED PHOTOS of the merch on real people who are wearing them
