You made my life...I ve spent the whole year with the kitchen window closed...omg, tried all plumbers, electricians , handymen, they all said I have to buy a new window..I owe a.coffee..was really easy it's actually my 11 year old daughter who opened it after the video..thank you so much.inbox for coffee
This could be a different issue unscrew the handle and see if the square bar has detached from the handle if so new handle needed job done if the spindle comes out with the handle the window mechanism has probably failed
@@diymadesimple3321 The spindle definitely is not the problem one of the 3 lock points has failed I can hear the slider.The mid point lock seems to be the culprit as there is no flex. She has custom lead pane on the front so doesn't want to waste money. The window is just not openable. Do you have any tips to getting it open?
@@Leo-gt1bx you can sometimes get an Allen key thin ish between the window gasket then turn it 90 degrees get some lockable grips on the end of the Allen key and pull it until it hits the cam then pull hard in direction of opening check another window first to know which way to pull it takes practise though lol
@@diymadesimple3321 I've seen that. If one of the top or bottom catches had failed would you not get some flex when trying to open it? I am getting no flex at all seems like the middle catch is that is the problem.
