Windows 11 install on old hardware?

currently in my system i am also running a core 2 quad q6600 running at 3ghz using BSEL mod , i got 8gb ram and a firepro v4900 graphics card , recently i got a 60gb ssd and finally finished the dell optiplex 780 build. I have about 2 tb of games storage in the pc and it runs all my games just fine , mostly because i dont play any super new games , But in titles like csgo , dirt rally, call of duty black ops 2 , minecraft , euro truck , paladins everything runs fine at 60+ fps CORE 2 QUAD IS NOT YET DEAD 😂

Great video as always, managed to get 11 running on a athlon x2 245 and 4GB ram with the onboard Ati graphics! Runs a treat so this old hardware is saved for now 🙏🏼

You don't need to meet the installation requirements, just use Rufus to USB boot it without the requirements. I have 11 on a home server from 2011

I got a flash drive that was patched with the original patch that came out and I can install it on a Pentium laptop from like 2003.

Nice mod with the video card. How did you get to be stable like that? I did see a bolt and nut on the drive cage where the pcie extension is at, but what about the other side of the card?

Now thats a modded pc. New gpu cpu and ram And made a need for speed pc. a coool wireless keyboard mouse, or even a wii controller.

I don't like 11 that much. But I'm still using Linux and 10 LTSC on my SandyBridge machines ( desktop and a laptop). They are my daily drivers and were bought for cheap. Still working great.

i used a hp dx2400 motherboard with a e5450 modded to work with a 775 motherboard 8gb ram but the motherboard gave out on me because a power supply went out messed it up. it still worked but none of the usb2 outputs worked so had to use my usb3 card till i got my newer rig. what i'm running now cost me $80 but 20 was for the ram upgrade and my rig now is a asus motherboard with a i5-4670 16gb ram 750ti sc and just over 2tb of hard drives with 512gb of that being a ssd all in a thermaltake tower. i did add rgb fans to it also but didn't add the price of those but with those added on i have just over 100 into my computer

How long will people keep "flogging the dead horse" of Windows, a (mis)operating system that hates its users more and more with each version? The same people that used to say to me "Linux is too hard" are now the same people using Windows 10 and 11 who: - Can't control when updates are installed onto their PCs by Microsoft - Can't be sure that when those updates are installed on their PCs that old settings that turn off Windows telemetry are just reverted by Microsoft - Have to install third party utilities and/or do deep registry hacks to try to counteract the fact that Microsoft keeps reverting their configuration - Have no idea with each update whether or not Microsoft has installed unnecessary bloatware or started feeding advertisements in Windows Explorer - Have to keep "avoiding" Cortana's telemetry and privacy hatred - Have to create an online account just to use Windows - Still have no idea whether or not Microsoft will exclude their hardware from being supported by Windows because its too old or doesn't have TPM support - Now need to have a minumum of 8 GB RAM installed *JUST* to run Windows 10 or 11 All of the above is you having to fight against Microsoft for the desktop experience that you want - by comparison, Linux is easy now because you experience none of the above when you use it and it treats you like an adult. Windows today is you buying your PC, giving complete control of it to Microsoft and then they leasing it back to you under their terms and conditions. When are you people going to learn?

I have a similar setup on one of my pcs (q6600, 8gb, gtx650-oc 2gb) but 'windows update' says I can't upgrade to win11, so how did you manage it ?

Hello, I need some help with my cpu performance. I have a i7 2600 16 gb or ram dual channel I even have a ssd wich I put windows 10 on, the problem is that the performance is very low . In some games my procesor can go to 100% and in some other cases still the same thing. Any advice on how to improve my cpu performance?
