Very useful! While I had already known all these steps, when friends come to me for advice on speeding their systems I always forget to mention a step or 2. Now I can point them to this video to get them started down the right track. Very nice!
Not much has changed with the technique utilized to speed up Windows 7 in the last 5 years. But adding memory and an SSD definitely would help even more.
when I clicked the set button followed by the okay button when entering the custom configurations my pc didn't prompt me to restart my laptop so I just restarted my pc manually hoping it was the right thing to do.....great video. you're a good citizen. if I was smart I'd subscribe to your channel. seriously. you rock.
Hey, great tutorial, thanks. Unlike some videos I've seen on the page file size change, you don't advise putting 1.5 x the physical memory. Any reason?
such a badass and delightfully comprehensive video! I've used it twice since yesterday on both of my computers at my house. this man is a wonderful human being. keep up the good work buddy ole pal. you're my savior.
for the second thing you did, you should've put the recommended in the initial size, multiply that number by 2 the out it in the maximum size. for example initial size: 8175 Maximum size: 16350 (reset your system afterwards)

the virtual ram trick absolutely murdered my computer it took 20 minutes just to start up. perhaps it's because my hard drive is slow? that and it's quite full as well. either way the other tips were great.

We were only suggesting that you disable your antivirus temporarily. Because it may slow down the defragmentation. Judging from the antivirus utility will attempt to check the files for malicious content as they are rearranged.
i have only one doubt does disk defragmentation delete any personal files????anyway thanks for making dis video dis helped a lot.....and i am waiting for your answer
akshay raj The Disk Defrag shouldn't delete any of your data files. It will only optimize your files by arranging them in a specific order. You shouldn't lose any data.
