I called and talked to Tom about installing the windshield and heater and he was a really good help. Thank you for posting these videos! Hopefully 2024 accessories will be more plug and play.
Good Morning, I suppose my concern on cost is directed at the competition (Polaris/ Can Am). If you were in the market for this particular side by side the CFMoto comes in around $10,000 less the way this is built compared to the competition. Not everyone wants the wiper kit so that is why it is offered as an accessory. Also, there are aftermarket hand crank options that are much less if that works better for you! Enjoy the ride, Jared
Great video. Anyone looking for the main cable harness plug for the wiper, it can be found under the right fender after removing the wheel well panel. On a 2023 XL anyway. Wanted to share as I spent too much time looking for it in all the wrong places and thought it might require an accessory fuse block.
We’ll see I work and build Cfmoto drone Side by sides to street bikes and ATV’s and the 2023 model had that plug for the 1000 and the 1000xl under the fender witch was a great place to run your plug to but the new 2024’s do not have that plus so I talked to a Cfmoto rep and that they was coming up with an ode to fix that issue so I came up with an idea so there is a 3 wire plug behind the fuse box right on the firewall and there is a purple wire a blue wire and a white wire with a green stripe on it so I have been hard wiring my wiper kits there the white wire witch is a hot wire the green wire witch is a negative wire the purple wire is a hot wire as well so either out side wire will work as long and u connect the other wire to the middle so my green wire went to my brown wire on the wiper plug and my blue wire to the green wire and it works with the key on as it should but does not with the key off witch shows me it’s doing what I needs to do
Exactly. I'm having to install one at a dealership and the instructions don't say anything about where to run wires, just to do it and I'm the first one here who's doing one.
@@killianlastname1108 well since they did away with the plug and play on the 24 models right behind the fuse box is a 3 wire plug u can plug in a bus bar to it or just cut the plug and wire it direct the outer 2 wires are your hot wires and the center is ur ground use the white with green line and the center ground leave the other wire about 2 inches long and tuck it back and cover it with tape and it will only work with the key on so that’s how I have been done it
Just installed the kit, any chance you could share how you connect the 12 volt power? The harness has a plug, but no pigtail plug to tie into the machine anywhere?
Does anyone know if you have to drill the glass with the windshield shown in the video? I have the same, but it looks like you would only need to drill the black plastic?
Good Morning, wherever you hit the button is where it stops. I suppose with me making a video I was not super in tune with where I stopped it. You can get it to stop higher, just have to hit the switch in time. Enjoy the ride, Jared
