I live in Windsor for past 6 years and I love this city ,so much better than Brampton/Mississauga. Not crazy traffic , everything is close by .

You can consider damn lucky if you get a job there. Just a heads up. The city is so small but there are more than enough students that the city can handle. So getting a part-time is one of the hardest things. When it's winter the businesses and everything is so slow and it's even harder to get a job during that time. Then the city is not that much expensive when it comes to rent and stuff. Finding a job it's going to be a trouble so if you wanna apply somewhere else like in Toronto go for it. Good luck on your future :)

Windsor has milder winters compared to London and right by the border to the USA. Border line ups aren't bad compared to BC to Washington state. We have a major city (Detroit) right across and there are a lot of major concerts, games, and events in downtown Detroit (downtown Detroit is pretty safe). Since the border is so close you can easily do grocery shopping in the states and save a bunch of money as well as more selections in general. Also filling up gas in the states is way cheaper. If you like to travel you can save more money by flying from DTW instead of having to make the trip all the way to Toronto and there's a lot of cool suburbs in Michigan to explore.
