Go to a party bringing a more elegant wine with this wine bottle cover. Here is the tutorial on how to crochet this very easy wine bottle cover. Recommended for beginners.
No need for the stitch marker. I use that only for amigurumi, when the only stitch used is the single crochet and because you work in a spiral you might get confused where the next row starts. Here, especially with the color change you can clearly see where the row ends. Not to mention that a double crochet is quite a tall stitch so you can never get confused even if you do not change colors. Also, no need for the two chains at the beginning of the row. One can clearly see where each row ends because of it and it makes the seam look a little bulky. I prefer chaining 3 and counting that as a double crochet. For beginners viewing this I would suggest you tell us how many dc we should have at the end of each row. I hope you don't take my criticism the wrong way. It is a beautiful pattern and your work is very neat. Thank you for sharing!
Great pattern!!! But I am missing the stitch count as I am a beginner. This seems like an easy pattern yet I keep having to back track and looking where I went off.
Thanks for the great video. I made it as soon as I saw it! Fit an odd-shaped wine bottle very nicely. Used leftover Sweet Roll self-striping yarn. Will try planned change of color next time. Only suggestion is that you give stitch count for beginners so they don't add a stitch at the ch 2 point. I used to do that myself and had to frog a lot of projects until I figured out where I went wrong. LOL!
It will be a wonderful gift to go along with a bottle of wine :) I have a question..Does it keep the wine cold out of the fridge? Thank you for the video I'll definitely make one!
I do not know why, but my wine bottle cozy I did just like yours, but it's huge. I used an I hook .... 5.50 .... May I ask what size bottle you got?!? Maybe your wine bottle is larger?!?
