This is a fantastic video.. for intermediate students. I watched this when I first started learning WC and couldn't make sense of the terms, exact body positioning and much less the way to exert or subdue energy. Now that I've worked my way through the 3 empty hand forms I know the optimal shape of these movements for most force or deflection with least energy and the theory behind each shape and it's various applications. Most importantly, now I know that he's showing these applications from first form to third form and understand the techniques being practiced in each one to not only produce the optimum energy but know in what situations each shape would best fit. It's a great video to summarize the key moves from each form but without knowing the pillars of wing chun you could be applying these shapes incorrectly. Thanks for the upload!
Gracias.
Shifting on his heels would do a lot of good for his stability and applying force, and it will result in keeping his centerline, his vertical axis, in the "center" position rather than all over the place when he's shifting on his toes.. One of the core principals of Ving Tsun, from what I've learnt anyways🤷♂️
Coming from a strong Muay Thai back group 20 years and now learning wing Chun loving it. This guy is good solid instructor decent techniques but his knees aren’t good at all. Apart from that decent and I love his approach.
With the covid around I have had time to go through my videos i have found another 3 yong quan or as in hk win chun, which are also not from hk ip man derived lineages, and one interesting one called practical fighting of yong quan, I have not seen it yet hopefully I will be able to upload, but the internet is saturation point slow here with everyone sitting around with nothing to do
@@nhoj277 Hello the master that this video is showing is sifu Mai Yao Ming and i am his student. He is a very nice person eager to train everyone that wants to learn and he emphasizes a lot in the basic skills of wing chun and how to apply them in actual combat. What this video shows are some of the basic skills but they train also forms chisao and a lot of sparring.
MMA No!
It is a standard Chinese Institute of Sports Kung fu series. They are released by the same company, you could buy them through tao bao if you can not find them on Plum Publishing in California( I think they are in California) they have a lot unusual kung fu related books and videos, and are an international mail order business. Maybe even ali-express, but you can get tao bao agents and ali-express agents who source things for foreigners who can not speak Chinese and arrange the deals. It really depends upon how much time and money and how much you want it. I was lucky my local Kung fu retailer(MMA,Jiu Jutsu as well), had a closing sale and I bought nearly his whole inventory for about $300 AUD. You can be lucky sometimes, When I went to China the locally bought ones do not have English subtitles, which makes it hard.
Beeblebrox One she was shaolin monk student, and picks best movements of other kungfu styles of the temple for defeat all grand masters of the other styles. Thats the legend haha
