I have yet to see William Cheung teach and/or demonstrate anything that looks like it could actually be used in a real fighting situation, his students never attack even somewhat realistically. If Bruce Lee was actually impressed with this guy when they were teenagers, Cheung must've been doing something very differently then.
The main issue here is know nothing about real fighting, have never been in a real fight, and know nothing about Wing Chun, or martial arts in general, so you don't understand what you are looking at.
I have seen cheung in his early years a very formidable fighter...his system is more long bridge ...the principles and mechanics are very useful just need to move in more and root...regardless of the politics and stories his system works well..each must find his own method
thanks for the old video. brings back memories. Do you happen to have the old one where a tai chi master was fighting his students in a demonstration like this, but he uses small circles when redirecting the opponents attacks instead of the big circles during practice?
@@dracandros Yes but you were fighting your Grandma. Cheung's WC is a JOKE for modern practical self defence, any serious experienced martial artist knows that. Explain how the Grandmaster of this secret Traditional system LOL got beat so very easily by a then novice Emin Boztepe?
Really bad techniques there is no power no turning of hips into the movements. This is Bulshido. Dan Insanato teaches Wing Chun with power he turns into the moves.
They are not bad techniques ...its all wing chun not much different from other systems..just more long bridge...you don't have to turn so much it relies more on footwork for positioning...it has worked well enough for me...
No he dont teach wing chun he teaches the fma and jkd, also dont tell a world renowned grandmaster hes doing it wrong this is demonstration you egotistical dick
