This is a great video! I feel like I am always learning on my own, without any guidance. I see the many wing videos, but I can't quite decide on what to tackle next. I love the flow chart you did. It makes much more sense now. Cheers.
@@wsurfn thanks, I get asked this stuff so often that it became obvious that this was something missing from the available wing tutorials and guidance.
@vinc2488 The guide just prioritises sailing competence as a more valued skill but you are correct in that jumping could fit in anywhere once you can foil.
@velocityprodns with a basic jibe in light wind you drop power from the wing sooner and have the issue of running into your own wing on the downwind section of the jibe. The race and heineken jibes you hold power for loger into the jibe and you can't run into the wing. The other element is that both of these jibes build your wing handling skills....which gives you some experience in more advanced wing control before you try to combine both foiling skills and wing control in the tack.
@kountchev1 definitely something to work on as it is a very useful light wind jibe. It is fairly easy to do and stops you running into your wing during the jibe....the biggest issue for the basic jibe.
