Jimmy is just so so effortless and confident which makes him shine on the stage. It's a really rocky one but I always find it a little sad to listen to considering the lyrics are like a prophecy. Still a great song anyway.
This song is great. I love the riff in A and the rest of the chord progression - it's fun to play. And fun to break out the wah pedal and solo to it. It was cool of Macca to give Jimmy this slot in the setlist.
that was Jimmy singing to himself or preaching to himself....didn't listen to his own advice...:( Colin Allen, who is a drummer in Stone The Crows with McCulloch, wrote the lyrics, and McCulloch wrote the music.
A lot of other fellow musicians say that Jimmy was not into hard drugs, he died of heart failure brought on by alcohol and morphine poisoning. He may have been prescribed morphine for sometype of pain, none of us know either way, assumptions should not be made. If his friends and musicians that knew him say that he wasn't known to take hard drugs, we can't say if that's true or not. We weren't there
