Thanks, glad you are enjoying the videos! I have played the Oceania expansion a few times. Nectar definitely makes the ravens even stronger than before, and they are already pretty strong! I have never removed them from the deck, but I have seen other players suggest not allowing ravens to take nectar, or maybe allowing them to take 1 nectar and 1 other food. Maybe try that out first before removing them entirely, but ultimately do whatever you find works best in keeping the game balanced. One thing I did notice is that they come up a lot less often due to the increased number of other cards in the deck.

@@WinginitWingspan Good points. Have you played enough to say if Oceania makes the game more balanced/ strategic by nerfing the laying egg startegy?

Oceania definitely steers you more away from egg laying. The new board itself naturally balances out the game a bit by providing easier access to cards/food and harder access to eggs. Nectar also makes it easier to play big point birds, so that becomes a more viable strategy for point scoring compared to just laying eggs.
