Love this guy and this video so much, makes me wanna go out and get a camper and go camping, boon-docking and RV’ing. I love to see him cooking in his RV😁
That really gives a person piece of mind with insulation, & the better quality in paneling to prevent mold, mildew, rot. I like the awning features with the lights too.
As always Robert, a complete and encompassing review of your travel trailer- you might be Winnebago's best salesman! We have looked at Winnebago as a result of your videos- still haven't made a decision- yet.
Single Axle and no awning is our greatest reason for discontent with our Winnie Drop. Live and learn. 😂 Micro Minnie would've checked a lot of boxes for us. We would be happy campers. 😂
Great review Robert! First time I've seen a video addressing the different packages on the Micro Minnies. Winnebago Towables really is a step above the rest in my opinion.
It looks like it is well built and has everything to keep you comfortable. I watch a lot of your videos and love you share your travels with us. I hope you have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving.
Hello Robert, I just bought the 2108TB, getting ready for my first trip to Ok a couple state parks, traded my 2020 KZ bunkhouse loved it in many ways but needled the twin beds for me and my daughter. You mentioned the air conditioner hopefully it cools here in Texas.
Keep up the good work Robert , I’m from Montreal Quebec love ❤️ watching your videos and just because of your videos I’m thinking about buying one micro mini like yours , very well explained 👍☀️
What a lovely place you chose to make a video! Loved it Robert and I got a question. Will you make another Driving to the West/East movie? Loved it loads!
As always a great video Robert . Looking to purchase our 1st RV in a year or two and Micro Minnie is at top of my list due to the great videos and education on these you provide to us. Much appreciated and by the way it’s a pleasure joining you in your travels through your channel also
Nice rundown. I'm thinking the smaller trailers are easier to cool in the 100 weather. Our 26 foot trailer really struggled when it got to 106. Thanks for sharing
Good info. I am waiting for the RV market to be normalized before I buy another trailer. I am interested in the 1708FB and the 2108SD (one small slide).
Thanks Robert on your videos. I’m choosing between that Micro Minnie and the Coachmen Apex 208BHS. Can you please make a video comparison? Thanks again.
Drove from Seattle area to Coldwater, Michigan, to pick up our Micro Minnie at Haylett. RV. We love it! I am curious about installing solar panels. I also purchased a cover for it, but am trying to figure out what to do with the antenna. Thanks for all your helpful tips Robert!
I see you bought it at Haylett rv. How did they treat you? Got it narrowed down to this one or a geo pro 19fd after I retire in 5 months. Do you use your shower because I see it’s a bit small , was wondering if people are happy with it.
@@thestooges333 Yes, as a matter of fact, we are on the road with it now and yes, we do use the shower. They treated me wonderfully, and have been very receptive to questions I have had.
Thanks for sharing! I’ve heard all about it and it’s great to take a closer look at those in your video. Do we have to buy the solar that equips that the pre-wiring, such specific ones? Where does the other end of the pre-wiring end up at? Again, thanks so much for sharing and see you on the road. 🤟🏻😊🤟🏻
My mom and dad love your channel and now I’m a fan of it too! I am an educator. May I ask what you’re using for your camera and lavalier mic? I would really like to know, as I have to put together videos for my students. Thank you; much appreciated! 😊
I like the feature included. I want electric stove too. I am going to buy a ford f150 work truck, 2 wheel drive. This should be my new home. Only want more solar panels
@@TravelingRobert Ah that makes sense, thank you. I love your videos, and am considering buying a new 1708FB. Do you think the extra cost (including maintenance) of the dual axle is worth it?
Robert, I have to ask, I know you now tow your trailer with a truck but prior to this, you used a Kia as your tow vehicle. I think your Kia was a 2004 with a 5,000 pound tow rating. I have a Hyundai Santa Fe with the same tow rating. So, here is the question, I have no doubt you prefer the truck but overall, how was your experience towing a 3300 pound trailer with that Kia? You did it for years so I assumed you went up some mountain grades, maybe even some steep ones. What was your experience with it?
@@cherriemckinstry131 ok great - so how long? Because I have 1000 watts in panels, 3 battle born batteries, 15k btu and I can get 2.5 hours in perfect conditions. Which means I will need 6 more batteries and 800 watts more in solar to run all day and make it through the time without the sun and still may need a generator on the super hot nights.
@@TravelingRobert Okay. Listen up Winnebago. Elon Musk did the impossible every time. Made a rocket to be reusable. Made a Wall to power a house. Has cast over 700 satellites for his Starlink project that will completely change the value of land in the midwest. I do not want to hear or read it is too hard or you can't do it. If this is your response, you need to fire all your engineers and get new ones. 1) EVERY trailer you sell should always have full size fans in the ceilings for ventilation with a rain censor. There is no excuse for this. If I pay $250 as a consumer, I know you can get that item for about 1/5th of that price. It is an embarrassment to ship an RV with your logo with these computer fans. You make yourself look very cheap. 2) AC - if elon musk can do all that, you can fix the AC situation. Even a mini split option would reduce the power load requirements, provide virtually silent cooling and do a better job dropping the interior temps. Yup there are some challenges - you are the experts - make it happen captain. 3) Solar is the future. If you put a "solar package" into your RV's that cannot hold the power required to keep that thing off grid - it is wasted money. Run the thicker better wire. Prep it for 50 amps. Let people opt to say, okay - add the other 6 panels - when they are dealing with sales. 4) The frame/axles should hold more. Not everyone wants a 5th wheel. Many of us have good trucks and want a towable that can take more load. That is the only item we cannot replace on an RV. We can fix walls, replace the roof, but the frame/axles is a do or die design. 5) Soft Start - no excuse here. At the minimum, every AC should be equipped with a quality Soft Start unit. 6) Stop using high BTU heaters. 1400 watts MAX. Figure it out. Final thoughts. House prices are screaming out of control. What inspired me to buy a trailer is the insane housing costs. It is no longer attainable to own a home. I am not alone on this. There are millions just like me. I looked into alternatives. For the record, I do pretty well with my business, better than most. And even for me a house is a no go. When I look at the whole package of owning a home, in congested areas, associations telling me when I can poop, basically - I lose the desire to ever own a home again. Add to this being stationary. With the crazy economy, the left trying to keep everyone locked down - look at california, new york and even michigan - what are those people to do? Luckily I live in Florida. But the point is the economy shifts. If you own a home you may find yourself stuck trying to relocate. Part of Colorado experienced a boom in economy, so did Idaho For some people are escaping high cost states like california. For others the boomers are retiring. In today's world, living in an RV is quite attractive. Even if at a campground, the cost can be tolerable when opting for something not too extravagant. People are learning they can work remotely. This gives us options. I am doing my own upgrades on Jayco - yup a newbie buy - ugh. Anyway. The financing is one thing. But now I had to dish out at least $7k and still looking at another $7k to go. Most people can do payments. If you incorporate all those items into a trailer, the bank will finance it. Adding it at the dealer, well, it no longer is as easy. Most people cannot invest $7k into extras on a $25k -$35k rig. Financing wise, another $10k is not difficult to get approved once you are approved for lets say $35k. Get my drift? The auto industry realized this almost 2 decades after the aftermarket industry took off. 20 years to make a decision that - hmm... maybe we should put keyless entry on every vehicle (almost every), maybe we should make them difficult to steal. Maybe we should provide better comforts. 20 years. Are you also going to be late to the party like the automotive industry was? I will be looking to buy a larger RV in about a year or so, assuming the economy does not tank. If you read comments, people are addressing many of these concerns. For me it is between you (because of Robert) and Grand Design. Right now Grand Design is in the lead. They are built better. If I was running the designs, I would make sure to offer models that incorporate these items because they are non negotiable. Yeah - almost done. Here is where you need to come to work extra early and stay late - these models need to be affordable. I know I know... blah blah blah... You paying attention Adam? Affordable. No excuses. I promise you someone will take these items and more, to heart and come up with a the best RV's and you will be left in the dust. Maybe it will be me.
Great review, Robert!! We are still in the decision making process for a small couples trailer. So far, the geo pros, r-pods, and these micro Minnie's are the leading contenders. We will also see what the specs on the new jay feather micros will be as they come out for the mid 2021 model year. Safe travels, sir!
Robert please don't turn your channel into a big infomercial for winnibago or whoever. Loved your channel for showing places and camping world not commercial. Just saying buddy I'm a fan for the stuff you go and maybe mention your rv here or their. I'm just saying I probably will not keep clicking on this stuff. God bless
The reason I got into watching and enjoying RV videos was because of Robert's genuine and free spirit . I'm not even planning to buy an RV anytime soon but I watch Roberts video every time. He always seems when he riding in his RV. Who cares about the "infomercial". I will watch those too. He's had Winnebago since he started RVing. He loves the brand. that's why they even considered him to be an ambassador. Rob is very Humble. BUT here you are complaining about free content. what the actual fudge. support the man or watch something else
Oy ye Que bola They got you working hard for that new RV! love your style bro jk! I personally am undecided between 2021 sol dawn rover package or a 10k cheaper wolf pup 14cc black label package pulling my hair out trying to justify myself for pre ordering the sol idk what to do and love them both....
So this is the new racket now. Like buying a cheap printer and very expensive ink. Winnebago Micro Minnie is $19K - $21K cost. Cheap price. But they get you on the upgrades which are standard elsewhere. It seems to me that these items should come standard with any Trailer or RV such as: Battery Disconnect switch. Why is this basic safety feature an extra expense? Solar Prep - adding a port hole in roof for future solar should not be an extra expense. Propane Heating System - this is standard in every motorhome. Why is this extra? I am building my own RV it seems. Cell phone charger - USB chargers should be standard. Wire or wireless makes little difference. Wifi prep - another absurd add on. This should be standard. Everyone needs Wifi. LED lighting on awning is a no brainer. Costs nothing to add one yourself. You can even go solar on the light fixture. Nothing to gain here. The only advantages of an Exterior Package are: Larger tires - doesn't cost much to upgrade and sell the old smaller ones or trade them in if new. I paid $750 for 7 brand new heavy duty truck tires for my RV. These should be cheaper. Are they returning the originals? They should charge you the difference only of about $200 or less. Heavy Duty Axles - The difference between Light Duty Axles and Heavy Duty Axles is $200. Obviously they will be keeping the original axles so you should deduct the cost for upgrade or have them returned to you for resale. What a rip off if they charge you the inflated dealer price and keep the old ones. Torsion Axles - Costs $200 - $300 retail. Eliminates Leaf Springs. Total cost of functional upgrades should be: $200 + $200 + $300 = $700. And this is at retail value. Anything more for an Exterior Package is not worth it. Do it yourself for much less.
@@bertkelly7650 oh lol yes, I misread - yes too small for me too, but they have larger ones. I just see them getting very cheap where they shouldn't and that is what we see. After tearing my Jayco apart, I saw the things we are not supposed to see - what a disaster - as if they release monkeys with hammers and drills onto the assembly line. This has caused extra work on my end to prep for travel.
@@bertkelly7650 mine is 28' so actually 25' but I wonder if I should have went 37 or at least 32. After I gain some experience traveling, I will review my options. I am leaning towards Grand Design. They are built better. I am looking at winnebago as a possibility. But that purchase will not be for a year. Next time I want to add much more in solar power and storage for batteries. May look into Elon Musk's the Wall. Victron MultiPlus gets very hot with 50% load.
You seem so uncomfortable pimping these trailers for Winnebago. Being a pitch man just isn't your thing. Winnebago must be putting pressure on you to talk more about the brand in exchange for the "free use" of the trailer. Shame..Shame..Shame Winnebago for abusing poor Robert.
You should have seen his video when he picks up the camper with the winnebago guys present. Dude's face twitch everytime he want to criticise but he cant.
