It was bewildering watching claw machines and sweets, don’t think people in the UK would have so much patience to make their own sweets, living a fast paced life. Claw machines are not that popular over here, they mainly have cuddly toys if you find one. Thank you for showing us

Been watching a lot of crane content this year. Sadly there are nearly none of these machines left in my country. They have such a bad reputation that no one wants to waste money on them. I like what Japan has done with more fair setups and cheap rewards so that you get an experience at least, although some are also awful and set up to drain money, especially mini-claw machines with small items. If I’m ever fortunate enough to visit Japan I’ll be sure to spend a day in such a place :)

Hi-Chew isn’t that popular in the USA in general. I usually only see it in stores that sell Asian products. Rarely it is available in common grocery stores. I can’t comment how popular those particular flavors are here because I’m not really a candy person, but blue raspberry is generally a pretty common flavor over here. I loved the game at the beginning that clapped. It’s a genius way to make the game stand out among a bunch of other, similar games

These sorts of things are fascinating to me because you can get quite a lot of enjoyment of culture through foods and snacks, but its really not so common in North America to see Crane Game machines full of snacks like this. It seems deceptively affordable to play I'm sure, the snacks are likely much cheaper to just go pick up from a shop, but you're also paying for the enjoyment and thrill of the game and I think that makes it unique.

I don't think I've ever done a crane game (maybe one or two along the way). The cranes seem so deliberately weak, I don't know how anyone ever wins some of them! You won't need to buy candy for quite a while. The one where the flavors "are popular in America" seems pretty funny...I've never even heard of the candy, never mind the flavors! Lol Thank you for the entertaining video and watching you feed machines! 😂 The educational candy is interesting. It looked like fun chemistry!

Btw if anyone wants a Japanese arcade experience here in the US go to Round1 Bowling & Amusement. There are 107 Round1s in Japan since it’s from there. In fact, this arcade looks like a Round1. There are also tons of Round1s across the US and one in China. It’s the best arcade. They have a huge row or multiple rows of Japanese arcade games. If you happen to live in SoCal the Burbank Round1 has a huge selection of Japanese arcade games.

I think Hi-Chews are definitely gaining popularity in the US. I’ve seen some people in the comments say they’re rare, but where I live pretty much every convenience store has them. Fantasy mix is pretty popular here, or at least that and tropical mix are always the two mixes I see here in the states, as well as grape in individual sleeves.

as a person who have never been in japan and probably never will, this videos are surely interesting. one thing that i cant help to notice is how quiet is there. like, im from a very silent country, we hate loud noises or too loud music here, but you japanese are just too much!

I find those hi chew flavors at Wawa ( a convenience store chain found in some states in USA ) they are pretty tasty

Hi-chew is not an American candy, but can be found in the US. We typically have a similar candy called Starburst. Starburst consists of fruity flavors. Sherbert flavored anything isn't common and seldom seen in the states. We do have sherbert ice-cream though. The ice-cream is yummy! Sometimes it's mixed with soda to make sherbert party punch.

I want to share with you something I recently learned about Japan Well, since I am an Arab and Muslim girl, I was a little worried because I don't know how I would be treated if I went to Japan or how they would look at me, but because I love researching Japan and its culture, I knew that the Japanese have great respect for other religions and even care about you. I knew that if you went There and they know you are Muslim. They will give you a copy of the Qur’an and a map that will guide you to the mosques. There are also hotels written in Arabic, and there are places and rooms for prayer and worship for Muslims. Ahhhh I really love Japan it amazes me every day.
