Great time in the woods. We did a 48 hour winter camping trip in Jacques Cartier Park in Québec. Had the chance to see a nice little buck moose and camp in a ton of snow. I hope you guys enjoy the video ! We sure did enjoy making it. In our trip you'll see us cook steaks, chaga tea, oatmeal, bacon, noodles, popcorn and more bacon. We got snowy weather and some really cold temperatures on the last day. Feel free to comment with any questions or comments you may have ! Thanks for watching.

Why would anyone not like this video? Some people just don't appreciate how hard it is to camp in the winter and make a video. Everything gets cold, the lenses get foggy, the batteries are weak. Everything is 2-3 times harder and longer in winter. Good job gyts.

Rewatch the video. Pay particular attention to how they cooked the bacon. And almost everything else they do.

From heavy snow to minus 30c. and people comment like the language police. You're bilingual but they want you to be unilingual. You cook on coals and they freak out. Heavy snow and then -30 . They don't have a clue. Joe Robinet would have been shivering under a tarp. Impressive skills. You make our Quebec heritage proud. I spent a lot of time in the Jacque Cartier Park. Great white water canoeing. Thanks for the video and the memories it brought. And, yes, we call it a "buck!" "Bull" is what several of the negative commentators are spewing.

I am sure that those who appear to be critical have not camped in the winter. I remember as a youngster of 8-10 camping in the backyard in winter in the city. It was fun. We were in Scouts Canada at the time trying to prove that we could do it for real. Temperatures were minus 20ºC but we were toasty in our shelter. Every youngster should have this experience. Of course most parents would not permit this today. Bushcraft is an excellent thing to learn in the event your hydro is off for days in the winter.Sh*t happens.

Please everyone do these things while your young and can. I hunted and camped and was in the U.S. Military and was winter qualified. Instantly the Big C hit me and now im in a fight. I love this, but right now it could kill me. Every breath in that beautiful land is a gift. Do your homework and go with very experienced winter folk. No shortcuts. Closed cell ground pad that cold. Nalgene bottles hot water in a good bag. Good bivy. Stay hydrated. keep your eyes on each other. Have an evac plan. Batteries in your bag warm.

Winter camping has some great advantages. No bees, bears or mosquitoes and you can eat anything and everything, especially jiffy-pop! I haven't had that since i was a kid. You can also go places you cant in other seasons. Minimal impact, carry in carry out and keep moving until you're in your bag. Thanks guys

Ok next time for the tents! If you are going to take lots of stuff the most best thing is two tents! Get a 12x12 pop up tent and put a 8x8 pop up tent inside! Then all the wind and rain and condensation is on the outer tent and you will be warm and dry inside the other! Works awesome!

There never seems to be a lack of snobbery, competition and envy from nasty people. I totally enjoyed watching while I listened to Seven Lions perform on Spotify. It all went together really well. It takes a lot of energy in a very short amount of daylight...putting all you have into teamwork to make your temporary home workable. I love the woods in winter. It's magical. Good job, guys.

It was special to be able to see the individual snowflakes on the tent flaps and see the shapes of them. That is such a miraculous thing to see. When I was little, I would go outside and catch the snowflakes on my woolen gloves so I could see the different shapes of them. What a wonder.

Great video guys! Maybe you already know this or have learned this tip by now (I'm late to the party...old video I see), but putting your boots in a bag and putting them in your sleeping bag can keep them from freezing at night. You can do this with other things like your gloves or electronics too. If you want some water to drink in the morning plus some heat at night, you can heat up some water and poor it into a water tight drinking bottle and put that down by your feet with the other stuff. Thanks again for the cool video.

I too do not understand why this video is getting so much grief. I have watched dozens of winter camping trips on RU-vid and anything they did , I have seen before. Bringing in wood was one of the smartest things they did. Sure they are surrounded by wood, but it is buried under feet of snow, wet and it is below zero. Not to mention, looking for wood in the dark.

Drying clothes in the winter 2 man. 1. Get out of the clothes while wet into dry sleeping bag. 2. Hang clothes until they freeze. 3. Shatter the ice on the clothes. This removes alot of water. 4. Boil water put it in a nalgene. put it in the Down bag/ bivy. it creates a convection evaporator. Put clothes to include boots in bag. Top Military winter special operations guys practice this. It has and can save a life. Fun stuff. Love your channel.

I Spent some time with Norwegian Marine Jagers, Incredible winter skills. Given the homeless problems that are coming to light. These skills are so important. I would love to share a camp and stories with you. I see your channel with alot of room to grow.

Awesome vid! I was very relieved to see you not cook your bacon in the coals. Worst thing about cold weather camping is having to pee in the middle of the night.
