"Winter" Car Camping on a Southern California Beach | Thornhill Broome Campground @ Point Mugu SP

I needed to help one of my homies wrench on his rig up in Oxnard and so with that...another excuse to go camping! This time I wanted to do something I've never done before which was beach camping. I did some research and found out there was a campground at Point Mugu SP. I gotta tell you, there ain't nothing better than to wake up to the sounds of the ocean and the sand right at your doorstep. Though not the quietest spot (since it's right off the PCH), it was still awesome to be front row to some epic ocean views.

You have great content and see you enjoy camping as much I do. This camp spot is one of the best keep secrets in Socal. It's already hard to get reservations and withe the rising tides. They close like half the spots in the past few years. With that said.... With the up most respect from one camper/ outdoor enthusiast. I kindly ask you don't promote this beautiful gem 💎 🙏🏾✌🏾💚🏖️

There's a few porta potties around which are pretty well maintained. At the time, temps were high 60's in the day and I believe dropped down to 50's at night.

Yup, fee and reservation. I spent $43 at the time which was kinda pricey.

I believe you can check in with the ranger at the front the day of to see if there's availability. But best to reserve to be on the safe side.
