I got my m2c last august and it’s my first bmw and my daily driver. I was amazed at when I was doing research on how m cars handle in the snow, and tips for winter driving that so many people on various boards were trying to advocate for getting a beater for the winter and how these shouldn’t be driven in the snow. Last I checked it snows in Germany and there wasn’t any kind of disclaimer saying this was a summer car only

Very brave! The M cars made to be driven in winter for people who knows! I think the 2 is the best M car so far.

The driveability in the winter was always a concern, but your Videos took my fear. I got really interested in the M2 Competition in the last couple days.

For the door window rubbers, try treating with Gummi Pflege. I’ve found it helps. (Not a sales pitch)

I've had continentals as well and they all work pretty well. Just go for any premium brand and you'll be fine

"Such a car" needs to be set MDM off and a huge parking lot and you can make it spin fast in circles like an amusement park 🏞️

This was a long time ago, but I think it was because these were much cheaper than the standard sizes

Would you buy an m4 competition or a m2 competition?
@nessuno5403
@nessuno5403 3 года назад
F80 or G80? F80 is old... a limo on track. M2C is the real track star. On the M4 you get more top end performance, more space inside, an HUD, dated gloss carbon with leather dashboard, seatbelt giver and 2 extra old gauges. But still doesn't make it the best choice! G80 is fatter and uglier...
@TunedIntoCars
@TunedIntoCars 3 года назад
The fact that I have bought an M2 Competition should give you the answer. For me the M2c is the best new old school BMW. If that makes any sense.

Paul, quick question. I just had 18" Michelin Pilot Alpin 4's installed on my M2 Competition today. Staggered setup: 255/35 at the rear and 235/40 at the front. It's my first time with winter tyres and wheels on it. Much more comfortable and buckets more grip. I noticed the steering is completely different. I understand this is normal, however, even when changing steering modes, the feeling through the steering wheel is identical - very light and very loose. I normally drove with the steering wheel in sport mode with summer tyres. I drove it back to the shop and they told me it's normal. But I'm worried that, despite having meatier, winter tyres installed, the steering modes should still work and be different to one another. Could you shed some light on this please? Cheers!
@TunedIntoCars
@TunedIntoCars 2 года назад
Hi there. The steering is different because of two reasons (and these are not facts, it's just an opinion based on my experience) 1. You went down to 18". Much lighter wheels 2. Less wide wheels than before. Both of these things make the steering feel much lighter and, of course, you won't feel as much of a difference when you switch driving modes. I've felt the same when I switched to the lighter JR wheels. So yeah, I agree with the shop. It's all normal.

Hello, I tried to fill the contact form but something does not work, so I follow your channel on YT and I like it very much, I own M2, pretty the same that you had, I also consider to switch it for M2 comp., but I'm not sure is it a good decision, I watched many movies comparing these 2 or even 3 cars(M2cs) and many of them pick up the M2 og. as their choice. I preciate your movies but I did not find the answer for my question You said that the M2c is completly other beast - what do you mean ? Was it worth to change it ? I'm really curious your opinion
@TunedIntoCars

Here's my initial review of the Competition: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XDq4Bi6nKpA.html In that video I'm also going through what's different about the Competition. However I haven't exactly switched to the Competition. I sold the LCi and then waited 18 months until I got the Competition. I think the sound is the only area where the M2C suffers in comparison with the OG. Other than that, I personally prefer the Competition. I like the power delivery of the engine, the m-driving modes are fantastic, traction control is really good and those seats are awesome. BUT, and I can't stress this enough, don't take car buying advice from people on the internet. Sure you can listen to what people have to say but at the end of the day you have to drive the car and form your own opinion

stock suspension? i am surprised you have rubing, the car is supposed to take 255 in front, if you look at the manual.
@TunedIntoCars
@TunedIntoCars 2 года назад
That's not true. 245 front and 265 at the back. That's the official numbers. 255 is standard on the M3 and M4.
@tibhen8473
@tibhen8473 2 года назад
@@TunedIntoCars but are you on stock suspension? i am really surprised it is running, i read everywhere that 255 is OK
@TunedIntoCars
@TunedIntoCars 2 года назад
I've read the exact opposite. And unfortunately I've read it after buying the tires :) Another thing to consider is that winter tires are wider that the equivalent summer tires. Also, 255 star rate Micheline are narrower than the regular Michelins. So a bunch of factors to consider
@tibhen8473
@tibhen8473 2 года назад
@@TunedIntoCars BMW is telling me that the winter tires for M2C are 235/40/18 inch on 641 wheels on all 4 corners, Michelin PA4, they offer me discount 1900 euros for them including mounting and storage of summer ones. I think that s good. 235 is thin but they should grip more. I just hope they will look good.

Thinking about upgrading to M2C from my 18 M2. As a former M2 owner do you think it's worth it?
@nessuno5403
@nessuno5403 3 года назад
Test drive them, in terms of character they're quite different! Similar body, cabin and acceleration times hide the pulling power and superiority of the S55. The N55 is more nimble. In Europe, the exhaust sound is the only downside.
@TunedIntoCars

Here's what I thought about the M2 Competition, before buying it. I also compare it to my old LCi in the video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XDq4Bi6nKpA.html Ultimately it comes down to what you like. So drive them both and decide
@pressplay04

If your going to upgrade, then make it worthwhile and jump to the cs
@TunedIntoCars
@TunedIntoCars 3 года назад
Buy a CS if money is not an issue and if you plan on keeping it long term. Otherwise you're paying too much for what essentially is a Competition with different suspension, a tune and some carbon bits
