Most people don't understand the value of friendship; that having a good group may just be the most important and beautiful thing they ever do. You guys get it, and it's good to see.
Glad you enjoyed your snowshoe adventure! We love snowshoeing in the Adirondacks because it allows us the ability to explore areas that are relatively inaccessible in the warmer months due to beaver flooding, marshes, etc. And, just FYI, there are snowshoes that have "televators" on them that can raise your heels for climbing up steeper slopes/trails. Another thing we usually try to do is start our snowshoe hikes without a lot of layers of clothing ... you warm up quickly (usually) and you're less likely to build up sweat on your body. One can always add layers when stopping or when conditions warrant a change. It's also important to remember that one doesn't have to spend lots of $$ for the synthetic wicking clothing ... WalMart & Target carry lines of wicking workout clothing that work just as well as many of the expensive name brands. Sorry for the long comment/post ... thank you for sharing yet another adventure ... it was one of your best IMHO. :)
Really digging the new Cali series!! Adventure Archives West Coast edition.. Great! What a place..I want to go and see it for myself. Love the combination of Andrew & Thomas..great to see the joy of discovering a new special place.
Glad you got to experience the wonder of snow shoes. Up here in Maine, we just call them flip flops since we need them 9 months of the year. Thanks for the video.
Thank you so much for sharing this video, Thomas nd Andrew. I have a nephew who lives and works up there and I really wished my parents had picked Lake Tahoe over Victorville :) I skied on the slopes that were on your video, I believe it was Heavenly. Your drive in the snow blanketed highway reminds me of my last drive on that dangerous curvy pass on I80...in an 18-wheeler with an 80,000 pound load of food for a distributor in Sacramento. I worked for a huge company based in Salt Lake City. I haven't ruled out living up there now that my wife and I are retired. She wants a beach home; me, I'll take a log home in the mountains anytime. Great hike, guys, and well done on the snow shoes!
Wow guys that scenery was beautiful. Loved the video. Then the cruise was incredible. My idea of heaven on earth, when the sun was settling down over the mountains. Stay safe and good adventures guys!
I like AA best when Ohio is different from the mountain regions - but still beautiful. Keep the pretense and ego at bay, guys. Your sincere authenticity is your greatest strength.
Happy to find your videos again. I have seen several of your earlier videos too. Your's are great for people who are new to the various outdoors sports and fun for the rest of us too.
I love Tahoe Skies Tahoe is one of my all-time favorite and second is Yosemite that's all I look for it every year can't wait after watching you guys LOL
My wife asks why I watch all these videos. You have to have an appreciation for the fact the videos are produced with such skill and professionalism and the music is written by them and perfectly placed. Plus, you get educated while being entertained. These guys make you feel like you are friends and going right along with them. TV has numbed people to the process that you go through to make something entertaining. This here is a big job and they do it because they enjoy it. That is key!
Another amazing video again. You guys are most definitely hitting your stride and just executing on amazing levels. So good, I don't know really know what else to say. Thanks for being an inspiration not only to us, but to all those who may not be getting all they can from the outdoors. Keep getting after it!
Enjoyed. I've visited South Lake Tahoe, when I resided for a while in Sacramento, CA. Visited in the summer and Winter, when there was snow. Ski lifted to a ski area, but I don't ski. Gorgeous view from the top of the mountain. Stayed overnight in hotels. 😊❄️
Another beautiful video. 👍 Seems like you guys went at the perfect time (well, except the blizzard part). Most people go to Lake Tahoe in winter for skiing, but snowshoeing looks like a lot of fun. Might try it next winter! Thanks for the inspiration! 😊
Thank you again. I work out with your trips...on my bike, and lifting weights. I climb mountains with you in my exercise room! Happy trails. P.S. I wear cotton blend. LOL.
I really like these slightly shorter episodes. Don’t get me wrong, the 1 hour format episode are fantastic, but these episode are like appetizers for your channel. Great job on the cinematography btw!
This is so funny...I just accepted a job offer in South Lake a few days ago and was looking at videos on RU-vid about the area. The whole time I was wishing yinz had a video in that area and BANG! There it is lol Anyways awesome job as always! 🤘🏻
how do you like living there? Is the temperature in the twenties and thirties for months on end in the winter? Is driving in the snow pretty gnarly or is it okay?
Thank you for such a wonderfully made video. It was extremely enjoyable. We are planning to visit the area in December and see if this is an area we want to move to the area. Neither of us are in shape to do hiking yet, but we found this encouraging and we are learning a lot. Thank you! Ren
thanks for visiting one the best places to be in the united states . u should have gone to grover hot springs in lake tahoe its near carson city . its a campgrounds very nice meadow with lots of trails
Wow great video, but you are making me feel bad. I live in NorCal and spend much of my free time in the Eastern Sierra or over on the coast. But now I realize I need to start adding Lake Tahoe back into the mix, it has been awhile since visiting there.
Great video. What do you guys do for fitness and conditioning? Cycling, weightlifting, Crossfit? You make it look easy, but snowshoeing is harder than hiking, so it can be a tough workout.
Yo! Something is wrong with this video. I didn't hear the word Nostalgic or Benevolence used once. That could be because Robby was not present. LOL I've watched way too many of Adventure Archives videos. Ha ha ha
Great video. As native Californians we felt a connection with Thomas. He seems like a follow the rules by the book type of guy which feels right. My wife is asking why is he moving back to Ohio?
I don't know about your enthusiasm for snowshoes. The first time I had to put them on last season, I cried, lol. I love the winter scenery. I just hate the snowshoes. Great video!
I would easily say unless the snow is around 8 inches to a foot deep it's not making it any easier, some say even harder. They look to be on a few inches of snow & that would be no problem for snow boots or hard to walk in, I see people using snow shoes all the time in conditions that don't require them. Love these guys & the show that being said.
me: GO ON THE FROZEN LAKE IT'S FUN Thomas: Don't go on frozen lakes me: okaay yeah it's probably a lot wiser not to when you don't know the thickness of the ice and you're out in a new place.... but it's a surreal experience to stand on ice knowing there's meters of deep water beneath you (a bit scary too)
Thanks for putting out more content lately! Waiting 4-6 weeks for a video is why your sub count is still so low. I want you guys to make it, cause you produce quality and deserve it.
Ya'll make some awesome videos, though occasionally I question the thought process behind the music selection; that tune at around the 7-10 minute mark was absolutely ear bleeding bad, but I'll forgive you.
