It is fantastic just to be there even without good fishing. Not sure if i could persevere with poor fishing like that if I was on a pier or harbour. Thanks for the comment and tight lines.
@notformebeaky This is exactly why i started looking for places like this. There's nowt worse than turning up at a mark to find it covered in rubbish. Tight lines!
That climb down looked scary! Hard fishing but at least you got something for your effort 👍 Just hope this lockdown eases up a bit to allow us to get out there once again.
Nice video Mr Limpets! Being the wrong side of 60, I think as others have said, if I had to climb cliffs like that to get to a mark, I'd never go fishing! Stay safe & well.
Hard graft mate.. Lure fishing in the winter can be a total hit and a miss.. Always a good effort from you.. 👍.. Canny wait to get out fishing.. This lock down is killing me.. Was in Norway in February.. That was my last trip.. So mega fevered up for a cast or 2.. Anyway aw the best..
Eyup fella. I must say I admire your perseverance. I've only had one Cod on lures from shore and it was slack low tide in May (fair weather fisherman me) and I wonder if you have any idea why Cod like it slack? I'm sure I don't. I think I could do with a bobbly hat to cover up the Einstein hair problem. I'm starting to look like a bloody cartoon at work. It really doesn't help people when all you can see is the eyes 'cos I'm boz-eyed and the mask looks like it's covering up a doggy snout on purpose. With Einstein hair. I mean really - would you trust me? I've got a mirror and I bloody wouldn't. Thanks for getting me out of the house this weekend so I'll be giving you the clap on Thursday :-) Keep yourself and yours as safe as you can. I'll sithi after. Dave.
Great comment as always Dave! If I was in hospital and the person looking after me looked like Einstein, I'd be well happy!! I do have a theory about catching cod in slack water and it’s that cod are lazy (during the day) and don't like wasting too much energy, so stay out of the current. I live in a little pit village with a lot of elderly and the work that the NHS staff and carers are doing is nothing short of amazing. I’m out clapping for you guys every week, I can’t believe the dedication that you all have, and if I can offer a bit of escapism then I feel like I’ve done a tiny bit to help in this terrible situation. Keep up the tremendous work you and all your colleagues are doing and please keep safe. Take Care and tight lines!
I've seen videos about them but thought that setup was a bit more bass orientated. Might swap the single for a offset and give it blast when this lockdown is over. Cheers for the suggestion and tight lines!!
Great vid as usual mate.id love to fish these spots especialy im just 2 hours away but no chance ill go down there!i would be in the water with broken neck withing seconds
The power banks are 10k ma so they keep my going for a few sessions without charging them back up but, using them means my cameras aren't waterproof anymore, so I do take a couple spare batteries along for my gopro, just incase it rains or I want to use it under water.
Great video :D just a question would a spin rod Abu Garcia 9ft with a casting weight up to 40grams be suitable for spinning lures in the sea ? Cheers :)
