Winter Riders Challenge - 1000 Miles on my 2023 Vespa GTS Scooter?

It's the 6th Annual Winter Riders Challenge run by ‪@VespaPortland‬, where the goal is to ride your scooter as much as you can throughout winter (safely, of course).
I'll be participating on my 2023 Vespa GTS 300 Super Sport by trying to hit 1000 miles by March 20. Realistically, I see myself hitting about 12 miles. But we'll see.

Tech Notes (current as of Feb 2024):
I shoot these videos mainly on DJI equipment:
• DJI Osmo Action 4 cameras
• DJI Osmo Pocket 3
• DJI Mic 2 (used with Pocket 3 and in-helmet with Action 4)
• Sony ZV-1
• Fuji X100f for stills
All video is edited in Davinci Resolve Studio on a Mac Book Pro

Hey, fun video, thanks for sharing. I'm part of Team SSS (Tacoma), but live in Olympia, where riding conditions are pretty similar to yours. I just added a couple of new Vespas to my fleet that need to be broken in before I can ride them like they're meant to be ridden, so I'm extra motivated to pile on the miles. I like and appreciate my Vespa Portland friends, they took great care of me before Mark opened the South Sound Scooters shop a little closer, but competition is competition, regardless of the maths one uses to count the score. I hope we can meet in real life after the challenge is completed and the scores become a distant and foggy memory. Cheers! Bob

I feel the need to go on 'Brewery Patrol". Make sure everything is copacetic. You should go. Possible stop at Helvetia ( in Helvetica font?) Tavern. It's out in the north of Beaverton disputed territories. Could sure use someone with a decent phone mount for directions. There's a free beer in it for you. I'm only available on weekends and Mondays.

Hey bug, it’s Christmas morning. I’m the first one up and I’m watching your video first. I ride 500 miles a month on my Vespa 250 i.e., and it’s now ready for an oil change to. I should not be around a ranch or oil, ask my old girlfriend, whatever that means. Pismo, Paul.

I recently purchased a heated jacket. It was expensive, but absolutely worth it. It makes winter rides much more pleasant. Might be worth trying.

I have 2061 miles on my 2023 Vespa Primavera (Verde Amabile) which I bought in May. Going to match your 1000 mile by March challenge. Might be easier for me as I'm south of Atlanta Ga.

Cool initiative. Get some thermal layers and you'll be just fine. If they use salt where you are give her some nice rinses on the days where the temperature is over freezing.
