Destiny and Mystery claim a territory and welcome their new pups.
Destiny, daughter of Maple and Midnight, sets out into the back woods of Slough Creek to form her own pack and start her own family. But she, like her mother, finds herself in a harsh and unforgiving world with only her instincts to guide her. In this challenge we are unable to use the map or HUD and must play by blind intuition, unable to see our health or stamina, identify the specifics of scents, know whose territory we're in, or see where our threats may be coming from. In the absence of the markers that we usually use to guide ourselves, we must trust our instincts and hope they lead us true.

I get the feeling at least one of these pups is going to die to something 100% preventable with the HUD. I don't know what it would be, but it feels inevitable.

@BellaWolf if there is a food spiral perhaps otherwise I think the mate will assist in preventing this one! Certainly possible but hopefully not again!

Agreed but I think it will be down to wanderers illness and predators due to the increased difficulty of no hud to help give more info... like what the attack is. Or the pup howl on the compass and who's tracks are who's

Okay so Hear me out, When WolfQuest Saga comes out, you should do a challenge were every time you finish a litter and are able to move, you move Maps, and if you want you can constantly move dens or just stay out of a den. Maybe you could call this "The Nomad Challenge" or something, I just thought this would be a fun and interesting idea for a challenge and I intend to try it when Saga comes out Aswell! Just thought I would share my idea, have a Good Day/Night!

I'd love to do that challenge myself on Saga! But I think it'd be best to absolutely den the first year, since there's only 2 adults to fight off predators, if you wait til year 2 or 3, you're set to go fully den-less if you have enough adult pack mates

@@jinx6573 True True, And maybe wait until your pups can move faster till you actually move a whole lot, Doesn't mean you have to have a den. Just not doing long distances when the pups are all wobbly.

@@x_delta_x561 yea, maybe til they get to 15 lbs, plus if you're goin den less, the pups are more experienced with the outdoors, and could end up being very fierce hunters and defenders

Identify pups by using scent view and smelling their pawprints. If paw prints are too muddled up and together, simply pick up the pup you want to identify and set them on the ground farther away and sniff them there. You can also use pupcam as a way to tell which pup is which since pupcam goes in order according to how the pups are listed in the pack info menu

Looking forwad to this series 😊. Actually I've been a bit inspired to try something similar. Definitely not the same (not an iron wolf for example) and i have found i rather liked the find a mate quest without the hud. The tiredness pop up and sick pup pop ups still work without the hud. My territory is not a nice hex though or as big as i usually go... really needing to learn the land marks. I went with the dirt den on the slopes overlooking the flood - east norteast of you. Finding the site you are at is a challenge for me. The antler idea is great though! If my antler hord run is anything to go by you could make a trail of skull and antlers to lead you to several sites should you feel that adventurous

Jay, hope you see this, a tip for the future: when reinforcing territory just pee twice and make a new scent post where ever you are instead of traveling all the way across to get to it. It saves energy and time and boosts the territory to 100 even faster than remarking the previous scent post

Maybe one of the names for the pups could possibly be something like Fate, or Lucky, or maybe Fortune. Idk tho, just some suggestions because there's Destiny and Mystery so...

Here are some name ideas! Girls: Fate, Dynasty, Iris, Karma, and Bella. Boys: Xavier, Zero, Atlas, Alaska, and Timber. Unisex name: Winter, Unity, Lemon, and River.

SHUT UP WE NEED ALL THESE PUPS TO BE NAMES THINGS LIKE FATE OR LUCK (maybe hope or grace alongside that??) this is the best naming scheme i have seen between two wolves, you must take full advantage of it!!

I just got wolfquest and am playing my second run-through ish. My first was set to easy and I made it with all 6 pups so I could know the game better but this is my first run on challenging and I’ve just had 7 pups😅 . Any tips are appreciated. I know a lot more than some new players cause I’ve been watching Jay play for years now, but I know there’s plenty to learn! . Also anyone who’s interested can put name suggestions in because I’m gonna need it😅😂 the theme is fire and fall but any names will be considered! (Mother is a red wolf named Autumn and the Father is a black wolf named Ash)
