We have a brand new facelift 517 HD, compared it to our similar 517 HD from 2017. Only thing I don't like with the new facelift is the electrical handbrake, and possibly the interface of the infotainment system, but otherwise a great improvement. One thing I don't like with Setra, is that the highbeams feel like lowbeams, and it unfortunately doesn't matter what model it is. It's always the same on that front.
@@bussmagasinet1 probably just because I'm not 100 used to it yet. Only driven our new bus a few times, and basically only using "normal" handbrake otherwise so. And regarding the extra head lights, we are going to get that, but my point is that it shouldn't be like that on a new bus. It should be standard with great lights. At least other manufacturers have way better lightning solutions imo.
Somewhere along the coast, seaside view sea breeze for the next Setra VDA6 standard bus? Also legit had no idea there's a third wiper up top. Nice to hear tom's driving perspective as well.
Det ønsker vi og! Men, ikke lett å få det til. Vi er heller høyst privilegerte at Daimler tok seg tid til å komme til oss for å vise frem bussen helt fra Tyskland
@@bussmagasinet1 That's something else... =) Great that at least norwegian invests in quality. I wonder why your eastern neighbors are so fond of Scania. Is it somehow particularly good for the driver? Travel comfort in them is at least weak. MAN and Setra are comfortable for passengers.
So is that transmission fully automatic like an ALLISON? Those automated manuals are rough and slow. Dummy’s huh? You could have just asked some FORD or BOEING employees to ride along instead. 🤣Must take a while to study the instrument panel. Every rental car is different so by the time I have to return it, I still haven’t completely figured it out. Looks like a nice coach.
Setra a good manufacturer of course, but a coach not without miner faults. Lack of torque, need to drive manually rather than auto, must use lights manually. Diesel power much better than the trend to electric that we have today.
