This is a video to show how to winterize your Casita Travel Trailer using RV antifreeze. I am not an expert but wanted to put together something that should be easy to follow along to if you are going to do it yourself. There are other ways to do this but this worked just fine for me this past winter in Colorado at my house at 9600 feet elevation.
Don’t forget to drain your holding tanks...I had already done that before the video. Since I plan on using it again before being stored for winter I didn’t worry about draining them again. I will repeat the process next month when it’s stored for good taking care to get all the water out of the lines.
I don’t drink water from the freshwater tank, it’s just used for washing and showers and toilet usage. I’ve heard the antifreeze can leave a taste but I plan on thoroughly sanitizing and flushing the tanks before I use them again in the spring.
