Why just play games on a Steam Deck when you can do so much more with it.
In this video I attack my wireless guest network using Kali Linux running on my Steam Deck and a suite of tools called Aircrack-ng.

Is this impossible on the OLED model? As far as I can tell, the new chip (Quectel FC66E) is super minimalist and only supports AP/managed mode. Really disappointing and honestly a dealbreaker if this is a hardware limitation.

If the OLED doesn't support monitor mode then I don't see it working. I could be wrong as I haven't looked heavily into it nor do I own an OLED deck. However, you can get 64gb steam decks under $300 USD now. But for this purpose alone I couldn't recommend spending that amount of money.

@@cybercatlabs Fair enough - guess I'll stick with the old model. By "dealbreaker" I mean an unrestrained wireless chip is a nice bonus on an already nifty little device - I don't really care for upgrading for the sake of blacker blacks if it means I lose pentesting capabilities. Just thought it was worth asking. Cheers!

How did you install Kali linux on the steamdeck? im trying to instal it and having many problems

Honestly, It's a pain and not worth the trouble. I just wanted to try it for a proof of concept. That's why I never made a how to video. However this guy did: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RplbNpCaY4Q.html - I ended up using ParrotOS for a little bit but that was also plagued with bluetooth issues. I might go back and reexplore this project when time allows for it. Let me know if you make any progress with it.
