Gen 4 Ls swap using factory 2008 GM truck harness and under hood fuseblock. L92 6L80E K5 Blazer 4x4. I used a complete totalled 2008 Cadillac Escalade ESV as the donor for a 1986 K5. Only custom parts needed were LS Swap C10 engine mounts, C5 Corvette fuel filter/regulator, HpTuners, and a 32 spline input shaft from a TH400 Blazer in the transfer case because it originally had a 700r4 with only 27 splines. The 6L80E bolts right up to the passenger drop transfer case with 32 splines.

The ground wire I said I wasn’t sure was important is the ground for several things but most importantly it is the ground for the fuel pump relay. So it needs to be hooked up.

What did you do with the Body Control Module from this engine and still get it to run? I'm working with an 08 LY6 6L and I can't find any info on how to delete it to simplify my LS swap project.

you dont need the body control module for the engine to run. Take the ECM to your local tuner & have the VATS deleted. Once done, the engine can run with just the engine harness.

I just used a fuel pump regulator from a corvette. Serves as both a fuel filter & fuel regulator

hello.. im using the same engine transmission and harness but i cant start the engine.. i dont have signal to the fuel pump, injectors and sparks.. is there another wire that im missing ? thanks in advance

What and where is that where for the fuel pump leading and thank I've been searching for this information it was highly recommended appreciate the info on the fuse box

The wire goes to the gas tank. Power wire for the fuel pump. Then the ground goes to the frame.

@@highmileautoserviceandauto6102 there are two wires on the fuel sender (usually one purple and one gray), then a ground (goes to the frame) Which wire did you connect that fuel pump wire to?

Video added to l76 engine swap library, question chief...where did you dig up your ecu pin outs to figure out what to keep and what to depin? looks like the e38 pm crowed isnt so popular with folks doing standalone harnesses and what not.

Prodemand online has complete diagrams for the whole vehicle so I went through each connector one by one.

That probably took a little bit of time, but that is very helpful I will have to go and take a look. I was at the point where i couldnt be certain the harnesses advertised would even work with with my swap...id s till rather make my own.

Yes it wasn’t quick. I decided it was worth it for the learning experience and I made the video to make it easier for everyone else that may not have the diagrams and/ or time.

All 6 wires from the pedal go directly to the pcm. I’ll get you the pin outs. I had a connector halfway only because I completely removed the wiring from the donor truck but it’s not necessary.
