These are 4 cycle engines. There are several models. The models TE and TED are 11 hp. The TF and TFD are 14 hp. Both engines run up to 2600 rpm. The THD and the TJD are 16 hp @ 3600 rpm. They can be magneto or battery fired. They probably weigh 200-250 lbs. The TE and TF engines date from 1946-57. The THD from 1957-68. The TJD from 1968-2001. These engines have some parts in common with the V4s ( pistons, blocks, valves, etc). These are very solid engines and definately worth rebuilding.

These would be so cool on a mini go cart built to look like a old school hot rod like a half s ale 69 Chevelle lol

I had a THD on a log splitter I built. Never failed to start on the second pull on the crank. These were very dependable engines

I have an engine just like that on my logsplitter. Tons of power. Mine came off of an old hay bailer.

Most Wisconsin two-cylinder engines have in-line crank throws and the cylinders fire 360 degrees out of phase with each other. I think this may be one of the exceptions- an engine with opposed crank throws whose cylinders fire 180 degrees out of phase with each other.

Did you have to get to the points behind the flywheel? I just can't seem to get my shroud off to remove the flywheel. Thanks.

There are not points behind the flywheel on the THD, points are in magneto below the carb.

You have to pull fly wheel before cover comes off like person said before me points are where the spark plug wires are going 4 flat head screws and there are the points. I tried pulling my fly wheel due to rats nest and that thing ain't budging so I got vacuum out cleaned her up runs great she sat for 15 plus years I didn't even mess with the points.

My THD has a distributor and generator. I found out the magneto points gap is 15 thou. Is it same for distributor models?
