The magic wand is one of the most recognized tools in Witchcraft, and also one of the easiest to make for yourself. Any woody stick or branch, gathered with intention, can be a wand- but the tool becomes much more magical when you put your time, effort, and energy into turning it into your own work of art.
In this video I show you how to go from the branch off the tree into a semi-finished piece that you can either polish and use as it is, or decorate further to make it a working tool that is uniquely yours. Tools needed are a pocket knife and sandpaper of varying grits.

Thank you 🙏 once again! Your videos are so refreshing and peaceful! The energy of your garden is awesome. Lots n lots of growth potential there! Love the idea of burning designs into the wand. I have a soldering iron I could probably use for that too! Love it when birds drop by and sing for us; such joy! Wonderful video! Thank you for sharing! Blessed be!

Is it okay if we use some other trees to make wands ?? I am baby witch here!
@TheGardenWitch
@TheGardenWitch 3 года назад
The only limit is what you have available to you! I've made wands out of oak, willow, holly, apple, cherry, maple, hazel, and even driftwood, because that's what I've been able to get my hands on so far. They all feel a little bit different but they all work 😊

What sort of length are you looking at great video by the way
@TheGardenWitch
@TheGardenWitch 2 года назад
The traditional length of a wand would be the same as the distance between the user's elbow and fingertip, but many people prefer shorter

You’re so goofy and it made me laugh so hard 😂😂😂😂 I adore your personality!! Where are you located? I heard you mention hurricanes. I’m from South Carolina and just moved to St. Louis. I’m so ready to travel down the Mississippi River to New Orleans and see all the witchcraft and voodoo 🙂

I'm in Virginia, far enough from the coast that we don't have to evacuate but close enough to still get slammed every now and then

What if you dont know what kind of wood it is? Are any woods you cant use?
@TheGardenWitch

You can use anything you feel called to use ♥️

What type of oil did you use for the wood polish?
@TheGardenWitch
@TheGardenWitch 3 года назад
I usually use linseed oil but you can use any oil, just keep in mind that some oils such as olive will go rancid faster than others

what herbs do you use for your wands
@TheGardenWitch
@TheGardenWitch 3 года назад
Do you mean added to the wood polish? Because that would depend on what I plan on using the wand for. My default polish uses a lot of herbs with Fire energy because that's the element we associate the wand with in our tradition; so fiery things like cinnamon, clove, and copal get steeped in the oil that I make the polish out of

It is perfect but I will not do it because you didn't showed us that it works
@TheGardenWitch

I wouldn't even know how to begin to show that in this medium 🤷‍♀️
@arthurledezma9003

Start with ‘how’ it works and you’d have an idea. 1) Desire 2) Intent 3) Manifestation Naturally, you cannot make something out of nothing, but the idea is to move your energy, your will, towards that goal. The wand is simply a tool to direct that energy (will). Does it work? Well, picture this. Have you ever had a person talk to you sternly, perhaps warning you of something…and then they raise a hand and point their finger at you, perhaps waving it? Notice that little umpf?! An emphasis so to speak. Get the picture?

I have found that making my wands out of driftwood that I find along lake shores and riverbanks in the Rocky Mountains to feel so much better for me...As these mountains are my happy place for 3 solid months out of the year. A place where I can practice in solitude and one with nature

I make my own as well, I might add the burning of designs and yes more energy with intention when it’s done on your own rather than store bought

It has always been a part of my life. I just felt it, now more then ever at age 17 I am getting a lot more into it. I cast a few spells today. I made a prosperity totem and I'm in the process of making a wiccan wand and a staff

I loved your video! Do you mix turpentine with your linseed oil to dissolve the wax? Thanks!
@TheGardenWitch
@TheGardenWitch 3 года назад
Nope! All you need to dissolve the wax into the oil is just some heat. Double boiler works best :)
