Fantasy genre in anime is booming currently with thick lore, great animation and fleshed out characters, first Frieren and then Dungeon meshi and now this, just wow
THAT ACTUALLY BLEW MY MIND SO HARD AND MADE ME EVEN MORE EXCITED, SOMEHOW I NEVER CONSIDERED THE MAGIC BEING COLORED LIKE THAT, IT'S GOT ME SO EXCITED FOR CERTAIN THINGS DOWN THE LINE
@@FutureShawn0058 Sadly, I would rather forget Mushoku Tensei despite how beautifully animated it is, I just can't get behind the story and characters. Plus Mushoku Tensei is isekai/ crossworlds fantasy and the three animes mentioned fall more into the high fantasy/ fairy tale fantasy which I think a lot of people are excited about.
@@ck4861Exactly what i feel too. The story is just kinda depressing for me but I love the way it's animated and it's story is great too, just not for me.
Children of the Sea director (Ayumu Watanabe), Elden Ring and Dark Souls III composer (Yukia Kitamura), Bugfilms studios (Zom 100 (Summertime Rendering while at OLM)), and Kamome Shirahama herself in the studio helping out behind the scenes. We are in good hands. Can't wait til 2025!!!
This looks so beautiful, and knowing they got Yuka Kitamura doing the music! She was the composer for Elden Ring, and most of FromSoftwares games and we know those soundtracks are great.
i was there when they first showed the trailer at anime expo and i’ll never forget that moment! everyone was in awe and cheered the whole time, including me. and shirahama-sensei was so happy to watch the crowd’s reaction that she recorded it on her phone!! it was so amazing and i absolutely cannot wait to see shirahama’s gorgeous artwork brought to life in full color and motion 💛
This trailer alone has me sold that the books are in good hands. Like they managed to capture the whimsy in shirahama’s illustrations even without all the detailed contour lines. Like I won’t shut up abt this omfgggg🗣️‼️‼️
Yeah she uses hash marks to create a sense of shading and that is really hard to translate into an anime. I’m glad they decided to compromise on a “sketchy” artstyle instead of making it entirely CGI *looks at Berserk 2016 anime
I looked at the thumb of the video and automatically thought, "This one is different from the rest." Am I right in thinking that? For some reason, this trailer sounded nostalgic to me.
Witch hat atelier takes inspiration from fairy tale aesthetics (especially westen it seems) and focuses on children in general, so that could explain the nostalgia
I saw the thumbnail and was like "Is that what I think it is?' HELL YEAH! I'm really hoping that the anime can capture the magic of the manga's art. It looks like it might be able to, as this is very beautiful by typical anime standards, but the manga's art is stunning and I really hope the animation can at least keep up with those gorgeous panels.
Everybody talks about the classic "seinen big 3" (Vagabond, Berserk and Vinland Saga) amazing series btw. But man in my personal taste the holy trinity that is Witch Hat Atelier, Sousou No Frieren and Dungeon Meshi is so... Majestic
@@lazyman2451 A young girl, Coco, dreams about being a witch when a veteran magus, Qifrey, visits her town. During his visit, Coco learns a secret about magic she can never take back and has to become a witch herself, and it's not all the magical world she thought it would be. It's a fairly dark story with some bright spots, but overall it's a story mixed with whimsy and terror. It's a coming of age story about disillusionment and love.
Watching this at .25 speed to see all the details, but you can really hear how haunting the instrumental is. This soundtrack is going to be amazing. I can't wait for this to come out!!
@@BattlerUshiromiyaaDungeon Meshi as well. After years of fantasy anime being one mass produced trasgy isekai after the next, now we're living the dream of getting one great adaptation after another
@@kiara_kb8214 oh i've seen those and absolutely loved both 😭❤️❤️ I just hope that since theres now a rise in actual (non-isekai)fantasy series gaining popularity, more original fantasies will finally get adapted aswell!! (dunmeshi and frieren aside, it really is hard to find well written fantasies with captivating worlds full of charm nowadays🥲)

Dungeon Meshi got done right and it looks like this one's in good hands. I haven't read it yet but my little sister raves about it all the time (I get her the volumes when they release). Gives me hope that maybe someday, Berserk will get similar treatment.
It's being done by Bug Films, former members of OLM. The staff are most known for having worked on Komi and Summer Time Rendering at OLM, and Zom100 at Bug Films.
This is absolutely gorgeous! WHA has some of my all time favorite comic art, and I know that it can’t transfer through to animation completely, but I’m so happy to see them doing it justice. Can’t wait!!
I'm serious when I say that I wished to see an anime for this about 26 minutes ago. And this video was released 26 minutes ago. My wish was made true the second I thought about it
That’s what I’m hoping!! I heard about something going wrong with zom 100 so I hope they figured it out by now otherwise that would really suck because I know so many people including me are really looking forward to a witch hat anime!! :D
@@dontdoitwhy8518 The content of the PV is not "made exclusively for the PV". What it meant that that "PV" is directed by a different director only means that they arranged the scenes in the PV, and matched it with the music etc. The series director is still the chief director, even on the PV. It was just "handled" by a different director, since the series director is busy.
Fantasy anime has been getting some of the most incredible adaptations lately. So many different series with some of the most talented people in the industry coming together making passion projects. Sousou no Frieren, Mushoku Tensei, Dungeon Meshi and now this. The animation and art in this is trailer is gorgeous and gives me high hopes for another incredible adaptation.
YES YES YES YES YES YES YEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY'RE GIVING THE ART STYLE JUSTICE AND IT LOOKS AWESOME AND SO BEAUTIFUL AND EPIC AND THE FEELING OF THE FANTASY WORLD HAS BEEN CAPTURED IN TOTAL PERFECTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well I can tell it'll be good because Bug films made zombie bucket list. Thr trailer showed actual fluid shots that is beautifully animated. Promising. Let's just hope this time they are more organised to finish on time.
