Solution to the bug where you can't talk to the smith for the quest "Hard Times" in Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Check out more Witcher content on my site: witcherhour.com/
I may be 5 years late but thank you for the short and sweet vid with the answer right up front. Now on to see your later vids with 10 minutes of preamble and 5 seconds of content and 7 minutes of "subcribe for the love of god!" lol. but seriously thanks.
[ADDITIONAL NOTE] I meditated til midday (was night) and I was able to talk to him! Thank you nathonas for point us in the right direction I was beginning to think it was bugged forever D:
Holy shit I bloody love you. No 3 minute intro on why you decided to cook food this way because your aunt once told you a recipe she had at a family barbecue, and it inspired you to look into why you enjoyed it so much, so your brought the idea back to your house, thought about it for a few days, went shopping at your local whole greens store which was about a 30 minute extra drive (but you needed those fresh ingredients), you were nervous preparing it because it is something entirely new that you’ve never tried, and let’s be honest with each other, it could have been a disaster. So you rolled out the new dish to your husband waiting with anticipation to see if he would enjoy it, he lifted the fork to his mouth as you watched intently, yet silently, and after the first bite he said “this is good.” And from that moment you new you had stumbled upon something special. From here on you went and made it at every single family reunion and only Aunt Susan wasn’t a fan, because she has a sensitive to spices. But, everyone else had enjoyed it so I’ve decided to share my secret recipe with all of you. All it takes to be a fantastic chef (at least that’s how your family members will view you upon from now) is these three ingredients: A microwave A can opener Campbell’s chicken noodle soup
This worked for me. I went for 6am just moved up an hour at a time. Think around 10am or 11am he was on the anvil working and it's all I needed......thanks
This is crazy. Until now I didn’t even know you were supposed to be able to talk to this guy because he’s always been bugged for me. He plays Gwent and everything
I tried this same basic thing but without saving near the blacksmith and it didn't work. Tried it again after seeing this and it worked perfectly. Thanks.
I didn't even have to completely Save and Load for this to work. I just did Meditate and this reset the blacksmith as well. Finally. I've had this quest turn in hanging around forever.
solution works in 2021, i saved and loaded as i loaded i spammed the interaction button and straight into a cutscene convo with him thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know other people have said the same thing but I feel obligated to positively reinforce you even more. If you read this comment, I want you to know that this type of quick, no-nonsense, pertinent tutorial video is brilliant and you have done a great service here. You deserve every like you have and I hope you have a blessed day.
Fuck yes. 20 seconds? You're a fucking youtube god. No stupid production slates, no retarded introduction, no "DURR HEY GUZ LIEK AND SUBSCRIB!!!" Fuck yes. You're doing gods work.
I tried a different method that worked. I just kept meditating hour by hour and at some point he walked up to the anvil and I was able to talk to him, despite not being able to before hand.
I didn't have to reload. I meditated. The first time I meditated once and he talked to me. I went to see the Blacksmith again later and I had to meditate twice then he talked to me. I guess both ways work. Just make sure it's between 8 am to 3 pm when you try to talk to him.
Meditating for an hour made the blacksmith appear, but I couldn't talk to him. Meditating again (1 hour) resolved the issue. No need to save and reload.
