I think eredin is the strongest, but yeah that's funny. Its also funny that a lvl33 arachas is probably stronger than eredin.

+snkhuong either that or you got stronger by the time it took you to get to eredin. Still, I'm going to bring back up that some monsters are even stronger than the main boss, which is disapointing.

skyeler k that is pretty much the whole point in the book, they are not wraiths as they want everyone to believe, they are living beings, made of flesh and bone, not mystical beings...the game doesn't explore that side as well as the literature but once Geralt finds out they are killable, they are fucked

Eredin is a leader, a leader doesn't have to be a fighter. Imlreith is a born fighter, to be honest the only thing he is good at is killing things

nnightkingj because eredin is a king, he may be a good fighter but he is also a politician, a leader and a commander. Whereas immerith us his war general, his expert at arms and his most feared fighter.

Haven't got to fight either yet but my guess is imlerith is much more direct and unrelenting in his fight

Imlerith is a warrior. He literally lived for battle and bloodshed. Geralt bested him in a fight to the death. While he was a major prick he accepted his defeat and died with dignity. He died a warrior's death.

Well, he was tired and choking Geralt out, and it took something like 4-5 seconds for Geralt to roast him beyond saving. I imagine that with all that exhaustion and adrenaline pumping he just didn't react accordingly until it was too late.

adii665 You're right this was the best in the main quest that's what people are saying I'm currently fighting him so I don' t really know yet just seems like everyone's favorite. Even if it makes sense story wise that Imlerith is the hardest I still think that they should've at least saved him for last or made the other enemies at least as good as him. I heard that the rest of the game is kinda a breeze is that true? Oh well at least it slowly got harder even if it reached it's peak at the middle of the game. Unlike The Witcher 2 which started hard and just got easier and easier the further you got through the game.

Benjot Sumal I have played it on the second difficulty. At first it was hard for me (the controls... i play with mouse and keyboard, and well it was nothing like skyrim :D took a great time to get used to for me) but after a while it just got easier. I used a heavy armored build with heavy attacks. Now im planning a death march playthrough but on that difficulty that build wont work. + i want to do it in other ways so the ending will be different. :P

***** Honestly I agree that more games should follow the souls formula but only problem is that games that use that type of gameplay get accused of copying. I mean no one ever says this shooter copies that shooter no they just say it's another shooter. But I think what would've made this boss fight better would've just been giving them more moves it was way to easy to predict enemy moves in this game because they had so few.

***** if you can design a better-harder, but also impressive and fun fight then please do it. Most games today are like a character or a machine deal damage using some weapons, that's all, this concept is not likely to change. This fight was pretty good, fun, and hard too. By the way, dark soul is not very hard, blood borne was not very hard either, in fact, no game is hard because they are all offline game and the AI can easily be defeated if you spend time to take notes of the AI partern in stead of trying to fight the AI over and over again.

ahah ihih But bloodborne and the souls games have an online component. But yeah you can predict the AI that's why it's crucial to give them many different behaviors that way you learn more about your enemy the more you fight them. I think the main reason people think the souls games are hard is because of their checkpoint system. You have to confront a lot of enemies before you get to the boss fight again. Although I just run past them if I have to fight a boss again.

Boss Fight Database Quen is a life saver but still you have to time your dodge otherwise he will kill you fast. Though I did not need it, Tawny oil will help regen stamina much quicker and thus allow you to use Quen more frequently to avoid his hits.

I have actually gotten to this point without making any potions that weren't part of a quest. I think I've made 4? Because they were required. It's not necessary to use potions, but some people prefer them. I like a challenge and most fights were so easy so I just disregarded potion making.

CN13580 i guess you're right .. it was about the gameplay aspect .. i would have just loved for them to explain why ciri is the one to fight the three crones instead of geralt .. they should have put it in say a discussion between ciri and geralt when they got to the summit's location .. it would have been fun and consistent .. i know i'm whining tok much about a small silly thing .. but i was just like "why ?!" when they made us fight imelirith as geralt and not ciri

BTNH Thats very true. Geralt is a lot better on sword combat. But Ciri has her powers. It would be impossible for geralt to kill 3 witches at the same time, since they all do magic and teleportation. Same can be said about Ciri. There was no way she could kill such a warrior imlerith is.

This fight on Death March can be rough if you don’t know what you’re doing. Quen is 100% your best friend, along with the Swallow and Blizzard potions (healing and slowing time respectively). Took me two tries, and the second one I was quite literally on 1 HP when I did manage to beat him. Extremely satisfying revenge fight though.

He probably wants us to believe its on deathmarch difficulty but defeating imlerith in 5 minutes with that cheap armor makes me believe its on "sword and story" difficulty

The potion for Human and non humans, called ''hanged man's venom'' (t's super OP i have supoerior version which gives 50% attack increase against the wild hunt.)

They are flesh and bone indeed, But you use silver sword, and the hanged man oil is for steel sword, so no oil.

Because Imlerith (or the crones) would escape once learnt about the attack

Besides, geralt didn't want to risk ciri getting killed by imlerith. He knew he was too skilled for her. Also yes... I know I'm 5 years too late to this XD

ahah ihih probably not because of the shield. I actually have Yrden fully upgraded on level 2 but didn't even use it in this fight.

+lutz zet I find yrden to already be completely effective at its base state. All it's supposed to really be used on is some earth elementals and wraiths. Invest more in igni, quen, and aard. They are the main 3 for combat. Axii is optional but it makes combat with those using shields and spears much easier. Also on fiends and chorts. Those dudes are fucking dicks without axii.

@@PCBCerqueira I don't know, but when I played it, the camera would spazz out and prevent me from rolling away from him effectively. That was the most annoying part. Perhaps its easier with a controller.

ExoBrotherhood All you have to do is time your dodges right, and the mode doesn't matter. I'm playing death March on my second run and the tried and true dodge roll strategy will still carry you through battle.

+Sharpy RokOut mode kind of does matter but in reality it's the timing and skill of the player

it doesnt matter how hard the fight is, just how cool it is, and imlerith was easily the coolest villain

Definitely, I agree with ya, it's just that, at the time I done so little damage, but he also done little damage, I was curious about how he done that much damage but I figured it out. I'm replaying the game though, New game+ death march, we'll see how that goes.
