Did you learn something new about the History of the Witcher World?

Great video! The Witcher lore is so vast, yet you made it easy to understand and follow. A small tip for future videos: "Gnome" is pronounced with a silent G.

Isn't the planet the Witcher takes place on just called "The World" or "The Globe" by the inhabitants and "The Continent" is the landmass where the story takes place ie Vizima, Nilfgaard, Rivia, Etc? Is "Neverland" just your place holder?

Outstanding for explaining in detail lore of the Witcher universe. I truly appreciate all of your hard work and dedication to the lore.

We know when the elves came to the Continent, not when they were created and even less if they are the most ancients sentients creatures of the universe. So far, they could be as ancients as the Gnomes or younger for all we know. 8:00 Again, i would very much like to know what is your source. 9:40 How ? There was already severals sentients species with their own nations in "Neverland" : The Dwarves, the Gnomes, the Nymphs, the Merfolk, the Bobbolaks and the Vrans. They were all already well established and developped before the elves came into TW world, especially the Dwarves and Gnomes. 12:07 They did not commit genocides since the Vrans still exist at the time of Geralt. Before the First Landing, they even still posessed their own kingdoms. It's not even certain there was a complete total war. Mermaids are not Nymphs. 16:23 There was a few monsters, there is a categorie of Monsters that are called the Relics and who actually originate from TW world unlike most other monsters. Also, you are forgetting about the Marmots people, the Bobbolak. 17:22 Ok now you're inventing things, the Aen Elle never settled on TW world, it was clearly stated they branched out from the Aen Seidhe in the Age of Migration. And as far as we know, the Aen Seidhe never tried to conquer or plunder other worlds like the Aen Elle did. We don't know why the Aen Elle are at war with the Unicorns though it is likely because they used to conquer other worlds and it is NEVER stated that the Elves tried to abused of the power of the Unicorns nor is it ever mentioned that the Unicorns created the Eternal Gate or saved the Elves from impending doom.

Where did you get all of this source from? I hardly remember anything you mention from the books but video games are not canon to the lore. I dont even think the world of The Witcher is that complex since Sapkowski never bothered to create even an actuall official map of the continent. Although he mention the Vrans and elves not being the original inhabitants and that is as far we know of the history of the continent. Not much more.

Can you imagine, so the elf's are mudafuckers, and Netflix's The witches made me believe they were the good guys being oppressed by humans and subjugated. Mtcheeeeeeeeew. Thank you very much for the wonderful and brilliant exposition on the lore of the witcher.

I appreciate your content. I've been following Witcher lore since the day Witcher 3 dropped in May of 2015 and have been hooked completely. To this day, Im still finding new things. Sapkowski is, in my opinion, our modern day Tolkien (sorry GRRM). I particularly love the idea that Vampires are an entirely different species. Being bitten by a vampire in the Witcher lore isnt a disease that turns you into one. Its just how they feed. This turns the entirety of fantasy lore regarding vampires on its head.
