Guns powered by magic in this way is such a cool concept. It’s not like “oh it’s magic” nah it looks like smokeless powders was replaced with magic and that’s so rad
Idk man, I guess it's neat but nothing beats that black powder puff of smoke that stinks of sulfur like the litreral biblical hell itself, I'm getting peashooter vibes from most of these. Love the bolt actions tho, they look great and sound punchy, the falling star looks great too.
@@TheThingInMySink This comment feels almost dirty. I want to wash my hands and eyes just from reading it. Keep your kinks to yourself, fellow travelers.
i hope he doesnt, i am not interested in watching him or his videos ,i blocked his channel, gamespot started shilling him, i blocked them too and now you mentioned him, i cant escape the guy, no i will not watch him and i wont watch asmongold either. Enough with the shilling.
I have love/respect for games that use "created from scratch" weapons and equipment, such as futuristic games like Warhammer 40K and Doom, or even games with "ancient but not so unrealistic modern/medieval" weapons and equipment.
If you suggest enough on the game's official discord, maybe the Devs will make a similar version. I've been suggesting Co-Op since I bought the game and as long as they don't ban me from the game's official discord I'll keep asking.
Remember that some of this weapon is without its upgrade so you dont see some of the ability like the hypnosis's gem will glow if you wait for a bit before shooting it, it only happen if you upgrade the gun
I like the crossbows they have in this game. Ignoring whether they could realistically or practically work in real life, they are esthetically pleasing and at least look like they could, which is all that matters in a fantasy game in my opinion. The crank and mechanical re-drawing is more interesting to me than watching another bulky crossbow that is either automatic or has multiple bows.
The Striga could probably work. Seeing as its only difference from a traditional crossbow is that it uses four coil springs for power instead of a traditional set of prods and drawstring. It might actually be more efficient in regards to power and draw weight, and the built in crank might be feasible if make it all a bit heavy.
The first time I saw this concept was in “Chaika”with “Gundos”, which were guns using a magic-sensitive powder (I believe fossils of magical beings) to cast spells.
Man I remember when the game was first teased. The models look amazing but the animation could use a little work. May just be me though I like it when weapon animations feel like they have weight to them
Well it's still Early Access. Perhaps they'll refine them as time goes on. Besides, it's a smaller studio. I feel the tacticringe animations from the Modern Wafare reboots just spoiled people on animation quality.
@SuperPerry1000 Maybe so, but you have to admit, the animations were pretty good. Thanks to the work of Ranon (A.K.A Hyper) as well as other talented individuals. Sure, it may have inadvertently raised the standard people have for weapon animations, and to be honest, some of the weapon animations cod had were lackluster, so it was a much needed change. Perhaps it can be used as inspiration and motivation for other animators to be creative and strive for better.
I like that a good portion of the guns include brightly glowing bits as part of their sights. Makes them easier to read and helps orients your sight picture properly. Neat little accessibility feature for those of us who have a hard time seeing things when aimed-down-sights (or us who have a hard time seeing in general)! Wish all the guns had it.
These look really good! My only minor gripe is the hand on some of the weapons being completely still while the arm/wrist rotates. Looks a bit wierd. Otherwise, great selection and animations!
I think it is on the most recent level (the tower you descent). You have to make yourself a way to the boss fight arena and it should be on a desk somewhere and you can pick it up. ( Sorry I did this about a month ago)
Some of these guns make me question whether the person who designed them was high or not. The others though, there’s a reason why I wanna buy the game or atleast get a replica of one
Well to be fair those weapons were designed by witches and the church produced them by the best craftsmen aviable with the help of magic. also they arent handed out to just anyone, only to the preyers like the player. So a specialist backed by the largest still standing organization having very hard to obtain weapons isnt that far fetched
This game would have been more successful if they had made it a pure FPS without adding their boring soulslike crap This game is being developed by the creators of Painkiller I'm surprised that they made the dumbest decision in the world by making it a soulslike The producer was too good but they ended up ruining it
